Godrej India Limited wants to penetrate into high end garment

industry through online. In order to understand the lifestyle, attitude,

and perceptions of its consumer base and map the profile of target

customers. Godrej’s marketing managers prepared fifteen statements,

which according to the market research team will measure many of the

variables of interest. The respondent had to agree or disagree with each

statement on a scale of 1 to 5.

1- Completely Agree 2- Agree 3-Neither Agree nor Disagree


4- Disagree 5- Completely Disagree

The fifteen statements are as follows,

1. I feel clothes made in India are always superior in quality

2. I prefer to pay by credit card as a matter of convenience

3. A computer is a necessity rather than luxury

4. The liberalization of Indian Economy has increased the efficiency

of Indian companies

5. I prefer to listen latest Hindi and English songs

6. I feel both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items are

nutritious and healthy

7. It is convenient to purchase clothes online


8. Internet has become an integral part of Indian urban life

9. Women’s education is an important aspect for the overall

development of the country

10. High quality products are often sold at higher price

11. People in India are more conscious about quality of product

12. I believe Indian apparel companies offer stylish products

13. I prefer readymade wear to tailored clothes

14. I prefer to buy clothes online to save time and energy

15. I feel all transactions held online are secured.
