ABSTRACT

The most common type of cancer among females is the Breast Cancer. It
is a disease with a high prevalence and transience rate. It is important to
identify the breast cancer to predict the diet, so that the patients can follow their
needed diet to improve their survival rate. Existing biological techniques fail in
the cases where only a few samples are measured using thousands of gene
expressions and may sometimes lead to irrelevant biological facts. Hence, to
provide satisfactory results for the task of diagnosis or treatment or diet
prediction among the breast cancer patients, a Computational Model is needed.
Machine Learning Algorithms are chosen as good candidates to perform the
above tasks. Although a number of algorithms have been developed in the
recent past, they have several limitations, including the training sets, low
performance, limited biological roles associated with the gene signature of an
algorithm, and worse, lack of generalization. To fill this significant gap, this
research developed a model which includes three algorithms for predicting the
diet for the cancer patients.

 Apriori Algorithm for Pre processing

 Genetic Algorithm for Feature Reduction
 Ant Colonized Back Propagation Algorithm for Classification
and diet Prediction

Preprocessing by Apriori Algorithm removes noisy data set and unwanted

features. In this part, the total data set with 10 attributes are reduced to 9, by
using the Apriori Algorithm. Genetic Algorithm is used to remove the features
based on the dependency of the attributes. Genetic Algorithm reduces the
attribute number to 5, depending on the knowledge gained from the data
without affecting the accuracy. At the final step, Ant Colonized Back
Propagation (ACBPA) Algorithm has been applied for classifying the cancer as
either benign or malignant cancer and the required diet is suggested according
to the classification result. The whole model produces an accuracy of 97.63%
which is higher than the existing algorithms. The other metrics like Root Mean
Squared Error (RMSE), Root Relative Squared Error (RRSE), Mean Squared
Error (MSE), True Positive Rate (TPR), and False Positive Rate (FPR) have
also been taken into consideration for the performance, which shows better
results with the proposed model which comprises three algorithms for diet
prediction.

The experimental results demonstrate that proposed algorithms are

effective in predicting the diet required for the cancer patients. Experimental
comparison of the proposed approach with the existing related model shows that
the proposed model significantly increases the classification accuracy with diet
prediction.
