Practices and Techniques with CSI ETABS in Structural Analysis of High-rise Buildings"
starting from basics to an advanced level.

Course Outline:
 Element Types, their Properties and Applications
 Global Coordinates and Local Coordinates System
 Introduction to ETABS, Modeling and Analyzing a Simple Four-storied Building.
 Modeling and analyzing a 10 to 15 storied building – meshing techniques, diaphragms
 Importing an architectural CAD plan
 Transfer Floor, deflections; interpretation of analysis results for walls.
 Modelling and analysis of steel buildings
 Assessment of Dynamic Response of a Building: P-Delta Effect for Wind Loads, Time
History Analysis and Response Spectrum Analysis
 Design Options and Reporting Facilities
 Interpretation of Results and Validation of Computer Models
 Analysis of 30-storey building-Response Spectrum, Story Drifts, Base Shear, Time
History.

Course Fee : Rs. 22,500/= per month plus NBT (with NBT Rs. 22,960/= per month)

Pre-requisite : A recognized Civil Engineering degree is an essential pre-requisite.

Recommended to bring a laptop computer with ETABS installed

Venue Location: No.01, 33rd Lane, Bagatale Road, Colombo 03.
