ੴ ਸਤਤਨਨਮਮ ਕਰਤਨ ਪਮਰਖਮ ਤਨਰਭਉ ਤਨਰਵਵਰਮ ਅਕਨਲ ਮਮਰਤਤ ਅਜਮਨਨ ਸਵਭਭ ਗਮਰਪਪਰਸਨਤਦ ॥
Ik oankaar(Almighty is only one),his name is eternal and true,omnipotent
creator,has no fear,has no enemy,timeless and deathless picture,unborn,self
existent by grace of Guru.

॥ ਜਪਮ ॥
Chant And Meditate

ਆਤਦ ਸਚਮ ਜਮਗਨਤਦ ਸਚਮ ॥

Supreme Lord is true,true throughout the ages.

ਹਵ ਭਨ ਸਚਮ ਨਨਨਕ ਹਹਸਨ ਭਨ ਸਚਮ ॥੧॥

Almighty is true, O Nanak, Forever And Ever True.

ਸਹਚਵ ਸਹਤਚ ਨ ਹਹਵਈ ਜਜ ਸਹਚਨ ਲਖ ਵਨਰ ॥

By thinking, He cannot be considered to thought, even by thinking hundreds of
thousands of times.

ਚਮਪਵ ਚਮਪ ਨ ਹਹਵਈ ਜਜ ਲਨਇ ਰਹਨ ਤਲਵ ਤਨਰ ॥

By remaining silent, inner silence is not obtained, even by remaining lovingly
absorbed deep within.

ਭਮਤਖਆ ਭਮਖ ਨ ਉਤਰਨ ਜਜ ਬਭਨਨ ਪਮਰਨਆ ਭਨਰ ॥

The hunger of the hungry is not appeased, even by piling up loads of worldly goods.

ਸਹਸ ਤਸਆਣਪਨ ਲਖ ਹਹਤਹ ਤ ਇਕ ਨ ਚਲਵ ਨਨਤਲ ॥

Hundreds of thousands of clever tricks, but not even one of them will go along with
you in the end.

ਤਕਵ ਸਤਚਆਰਨ ਹਹਈਐ ਤਕਵ ਕਮੜਵ ਤਮਟਵ ਪਨਤਲ ॥

So how can you become truthful? And how can the veil of illusion be torn away?

ਹਮਕਤਮ ਰਜਨਈ ਚਲਣਨ ਨਨਨਕ ਤਲਤਖਆ ਨਨਤਲ ॥੧॥

According to God's will that is Hukam obey and follow it,O Nanak it is written
along with you.

ਹਮਕਮਨ ਹਹਵਤਨ ਆਕਨਰ ਹਮਕਮਮ ਨ ਕਤਹਆ ਜਨਈ ॥

By God's Command, bodies are created; his Command cannot be described.

ਹਮਕਮਨ ਹਹਵਤਨ ਜਨਅ ਹਮਕਤਮ ਤਮਲਵ ਵਤਡਆਈ ॥

By His Command, souls come into being; by His Command, glory and greatness are
obtained.

ਹਮਕਮਨ ਉਤਮਮ ਨਨਚਮ ਹਮਕਤਮ ਤਲਤਖ ਦਮਖ ਸਮਖ ਪਨਈਅਤਹ ॥

By His Command, some are high and some are low; by His Written Command, pain and
pleasure are obtained.

ਹਮਕਮਵ ਅਭਦਤਰ ਸਭਮ ਕਹ ਬਨਹਤਰ ਹਮਕਮ ਨ ਕਹਇ ॥

Everyone is subject to His Command; no one is beyond His Command.

ਨਨਨਕ ਹਮਕਮਵ ਜਜ ਬਮਝਵ ਤ ਹਉਮਵ ਕਹਵ ਨ ਕਹਇ ॥੨॥

O Nanak, one who understands His Command, does not speak in ego. ||2||

ਗਨਵਵ ਕਹ ਤਨਣਮ ਹਹਵਵ ਤਕਸਵ ਤਨਣਮ ॥

Some sing of His Power-who has that Power?
ਗਨਵਵ ਕਹ ਦਨਤਤ ਜਨਣਵ ਨਨਸਨਣਮ ॥
Some sing of His Gifts, and know His Sign and Insignia.

ਗਨਵਵ ਕਹ ਗਮਣ ਵਤਡਆਈਆ ਚਨਰ ॥

Some sing of His Glorious Virtues, Greatness and Beauty.

ਗਨਵਵ ਕਹ ਤਵਤਦਆ ਤਵਖਮਮ ਵਨਚਨਰਮ ॥

Some sing of knowledge obtained of Him, through difficult philosophical studies.

ਗਨਵਵ ਕਹ ਸਨਤਜ ਕਰਜ ਤਨਮ ਖਜਹ ॥

Some sing that He fashions the body, and then again reduces it to dust.

ਗਨਵਵ ਕਹ ਜਨਅ ਲਵ ਤਫਤਰ ਦਜਹ ॥

Some sing that He takes life away, and then again restores it.

ਗਨਵਵ ਕਹ ਜਨਪਵ ਤਦਸਵ ਦਮਤਰ ॥

Some sing that He seems so very far away.

ਗਨਵਵ ਕਹ ਵਜਖਵ ਹਨਦਰਨ ਹਦਮਤਰ ॥

Some sing that He watches over us, face to face, ever-present.

ਕਥਨਨ ਕਥਨ ਨ ਆਵਵ ਤਹਤਟ ॥

There is no shortage of those who preach and teach.

ਕਤਥ ਕਤਥ ਕਥਨ ਕਹਟਨ ਕ��ਤਟ ਕਹਤਟ ॥

Millions upon millions offer millions of sermons and stories

ਦਜਦਨ ਦਜ ਲਵਦਜ ਥਤਕ ਪਨਤਹ ॥

The Great Giver keeps on giving, while those who receive grow weary of receiving.

ਜਮਗਨ ਜਮਗਭਤਤਰ ਖਨਹਨ ਖਨਤਹ ॥

Throughout the ages, consumers consume.

ਹਮਕਮਨ ਹਮਕਮਮ ਚਲਨਏ ਰਨਹਮ ॥

The Commander, by His Command, leads us to walk on the path.

ਨਨਨਕ ਤਵਗਸਵ ਵਜਪਰਵਨਹਮ ॥੩॥

O Nanak, He blossoms forth, Carefree and Untroubled. ||3||

ਸਨਚਨ ਸਨਤਹਬਮ ਸਨਚਮ ਨਨਇ ਭਨਤਖਆ ਭਨਉ ਅਪਨਰਮ ॥

True is the Master, True is His Name-speak it with infinite love.

ਆਖਤਹ ਮਭਗਤਹ ਦਜਤਹ ਦਜਤਹ ਦਨਤਤ ਕਰਜ ਦਨਤਨਰਮ ॥

People beg and pray, ""Give to us, give to us"", and the Great Giver gives His
Gifts.

ਫਜਤਰ ਤਕ ਅਗਵ ਰਖਨਐ ���ਤ�ਤ ਤਦਸਵ ਦਰਬਨਰਮ ॥

So what offering can we place before Him, by which we might see the Darbaar of His
Court?

ਮਮਹਹ ਤਕ ਬਹਲਣਮ ਬਹਲਨਐ ਤਜਤਮ ਸਮਤਣ ਧਰਜ ਤਪਆਰਮ ॥

What words can we speak to evoke His Love?

ਅਭਤਮਪਰਤ ਵਜਲਨ ਸਚਮ ਨਨਉ ਵਤਡਆਈ ਵਨਚਨਰਮ ॥

Anmrith Vaelaa Sach Naao Vaddiaaee Veechaar ||
In the Amrit Vaylaa, chant the True Name, and contemplate His Glorious Greatness.

ਕਰਮਨ ਆਵਵ ਕਪੜਨ ਨਦਰਨ ਮਹਖਮ ਦਮਆਰਮ ॥

By the karma of past actions, the robe of this physical body is obtained. By His
Grace, the Gate of Liberation is found.

ਨਨਨਕ ਏਵਵ ਜਨਣਨਐ ਸਭਮ ਆਪਜ ਸਤਚਆਰਮ ||

O Nanak, know this well: the True One Himself is All. ||4||

ਥਨਤਪਆ ਨ ਜਨਇ ਕਨਤਨ ਨ ਹਹਇ ॥

He cannot be established, He cannot be created.

ਆਪਜ ਆਤਪ ਤਨਰਭਜ��� ਸਹਇ ��

He Himself is Immaculate and Pure.

ਤਜਤਨ ਸਜਤਵਆ ਤਤਤਨ ਪਨਇਆ ਮਨਨਮ ॥

Those who serve Him are honored.

ਨਨਨਕ ਗਨਵਨਐ ਗਮਣਨ ਤਨਧਨਨਮ ॥

O Nanak, sing of the Lord, the Treasure of Excellence.

ਗਨਵਨਐ ਸਮਣਨਐ ਮਤਨ ਰਖਨਐ ਭਨਉ ||

Sing, and listen, and let your mind be filled with love.

ਦਮਖਮ ਪਰਹਤਰ ਸਮਖਮ ਘਤਰ ਲਵ ਜਨਇ ॥

Your pain shall be sent far away, and peace shall come to your home.

ਗਮਰਮਮਤਖ ਨਨਦਭ ਗਮਰਮਮਤਖ ਵਜਦਭ ਗਮਰਮਮਤਖ ਰਤਹਆ ਸਮਨਈ ॥

Gurmukh is divine ,Gurmukh is knowledge,Gurmukh is merged with God.

ਗਮਰਮ ਈਸਰਮ ਗਮਰਮ ਗਹਰਖਮ ਬਰਮਨ ਗਮਰਮ ਪਨਰਬਤਨ ਮਨਈ ||

God(Guru) is creator,God(Guru) is protector of earth,God of creation ,Guru(God) is
mother of the mountains.

ਜਜ ਹਉ ਜਨਣਨ ਆਖਨ ����ਨਹਨ ਕਹਣਨ ਕਥਨਮ ਨ ਜਨਈ ॥

Even knowing God, I cannot describe Him; He cannot be described in words.

ਗਮਰਨ ਇਕ ਦਜਤਹ ਬਮਝਨਈ ॥

The Guru has given me this one understanding:

ਸਭਨਨ ਜਨਆ ਕਨ ਇਕਮ ਦਨਤਨ ਸਹ ਮਵ ਤਵਸਤਰ ਨ ਜਨਈ ॥੫॥

There is only the One, the Giver of all souls. May I never forget Him! ,||5||

ਤਨਰਤਥ ਨਨਵਨ ਜਜ ਤਤਸਮ ਭਨਵਨ ਤਵਣਮ ਭਨਣਜ ਤਕ ਨਨਇ ਕਰਨ ॥

If I am pleasing to Him, then that is my pilgrimage and cleansing bath. Without
pleasing Him, what good are ritual cleansings?

ਜਜਤਨ ਤਸਰਤਠ ਉਪਨਈ ਵਜਖਨ ਤਵਣਮ ਕਰਮਨ ਤਕ ਤਮਲਵ ਲਈ ॥

I gaze upon all the created beings: without the karma of good actions, what are
they given to receive?

ਮਤਤ ਤਵਤਚ ਰਤਨ ਜਵਨਹਰ ਮਨਤਣਕ ਜਜ ਇਕ ਗਮਰ ਕਨ ਤਸਖ ਸਮਣਨ ॥

Within the mind are gems, jewels and rubies, if you listen to the Guru's Teachings,
even once.

ਗਮਰਨ ਇਕ ਦਜਤਹ ਬਮਝਨਈ ॥

The Guru has given me this one understanding:

ਸਭਨਨ ਜਨਆ ਕਨ ਇਕਮ ਦਨਤਨ ਸਹ ਮਵ ਤਵਸਤਰ ਨ ਜਨਈ ॥੬॥

Sabhanaa Jeeaa Kaa Eik Dhaathaa So Mai Visar N Jaaee ||6||
There is only the One, the Giver of all souls. May I never forget Him! ||6||

Even if you could live throughout the four ages, or even ten times more,

With a good name and reputation, with praise and fame throughout the world-

Keettaa Andhar Keett Kar Dhosee Dhos Dhharae ||
Among worms, you would be considered a lowly worm, and even contemptible sinners
would hold you in contempt.

O Nanak, God blesses the unworthy with virtue, and bestows virtue on the virtuous.
