KCB: Thank you, Mr. Presiding Officer, The second SUBJECT

MATTER under unfinished business, Your Honor is for the
approval of the PROPOSED ORDINANCE AUGMENTING THE
MONTHLY ALLOWANCES OF CITY PROSECUTORS IN
SANTIAGO CITY FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2019 AND EVERY
YEAR THEREAFTER (SPONSORED BY COUN. PAUL C. DE
JESUS)
During the deliberations conducted for this legislative
measure your honor, there was a consensus among committee
members that the intended beneficiaries should not only focus
on the City Prosecutors but to expand the coverage by including

all qualified NATIONAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS STATIONED
IN THE CITY OF SANTIAGO. That is why, the resulting
ordinance will now be titled as AN ORDINANCE INCREASING
THE MONTHLY ALLOWANCES OF CERTAIN NATIONAL
GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS STATIONED IN THE CITY OF
SANTIAGO, FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2019 AND EVERY
YEAR THEREAFTER.
This modification is a more positive way of augmenting the
clamor all qualified NATIONAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS for a
higher monthly allowance from the city government citing heavy
workloads and contemporaneous practices in other cities in our
country.
To discuss further, we have here the presence of
representatives from the City Budget Office. May I move, Your
Honor, to grant speaking rights to
__________________________________, to discuss to us and further
enlighten this August Body pertaining to this request of the
Local Chief Executive. I, so move, Mr. Presiding Officer.
