At the end of the lesson, students should be able:
1. Know and understand meaning of every stanzas
2. Identify setting and messages from every stanzas

1. Describe meaning of every stanzas using own words
2. Talk about messages (moral values) from the text

PDPC ACTIVITIES
1. Warming up activity - recall the previous activity
2. Tell today lesson activity
3. Tell them to read in silent the poem and understand every lines in every stanzas
4. Select randomly students to recite the poem with good pronunciation and intonation
5. Tell them to go through the text once again and look for the meanings of words by themselves no
matter how long that takes them. Ask them to find the meaning of each word that they don’t
understand.
6. Teacher goes through the poem in plenary by asking questions and guiding them into guessing the
meanings of each stanza. It makes them feel that they get it by themselves
7. In group of 3 they were asked to discuss every stanzas in their own words. Distribute them A4
papers with colour pen or marker
8. Tell them to use and create any types of map when they want to talk and elaborate their ideas based
on the stanzas
9. Tell them to share their finding in front of the whole class.
10. Recall and fully explanation about the poem
11. Recall again what they have learn today
REFLECTION
-Among 22 out of 24 students were able to understand the lesson taught today
-They showed good response with teacher lesson activity
-Students can response with teacher questions and contribute their own ideas or opinion

represents 1 point
PDPC ACTIVITIES
1. Show them the various sections taken from the newspaper and asks what kind of newspaper do they read and which
section do they like most
2. Asks them to form a group of 3 people
3. Distribute a newspaper to each group
4. Tell them that they will be given some information or clue from the newspaper, for example,victory,stock
exchange,blockbuster and etc
5. They need to search the information to find out which section it belongs to
6. And than run to the front to show the teacher the information they had found as fast as possible
7. The fastest group with the correct answer will be given a small piece of manila card represents 1 point
8. Give 5 minutes to flip through the newspaper before the game starts. Teacher starts the game by giving out the
information one by one
9. Remind the students that teamwork is very important in playing the game. Every time each information or clues are
found, teacher will explain the function of the information and the sections where the information is taken from
10. Teacher write out questions on the board such as what do you think of the section that your group had found the
information from? Do you like that section and why?
11. Students need to discuss the answers within group members and present the results in the written form and submit
it at the end of the lesson
12. Teacher ends the lesson by emphasizing the importance of newspaper in our daily lives
REFLECTION
-Students were able to understand the lesson taught today. Students did very well in group work as they do
the activity together.

2. Gets everyone to stand up and shows the cards with pronouns pasted on the board
3. Teacher touches each card randomly
4. Students point to it while reading aloud the word immediately
5. Teacher starts saying the pronouns slowly and then, going faster and faster
6. Divides students into group of 4
7. Assigns handouts of pictures and pronouns that have been cut
8. Instructs each group to match the pictures to the correct pronouns and glue them on a A4 paper
9. Check students’ answers and award them by using : sticker Reward

4. Teacher draws a choice board on the whiteboard


5. There are nine activities on the choice board
6. Instructs each group to pick one choice as their group task. Each choice can only be picked twice
7. All group leaders pick their choice on behalf of their group
8. Group are given 20 minutes to complete their tasks
9. Assists students when needed and applies differentiation accordingly
10. Each group takes turn to present their ideas to the whole class in the next lesson
11. Each group is only given 5 minutes to present
12. While listening to the presentation of each group, the other groups are asked to fill in the 2 stars 1 wish slip as
feedback for their friends presentations. The feedback should focus on the presentation of ideas
