beginning data scientists should make sure that predictive analytics fulfils their business goals
and is appropriate for the big data environment.

Let’s take a quick look at the three types of analytics –

Descriptive analytics – It is the basic form of analytics which aggregates big data and provides
useful insights into the past.

Predictive analytics – Next step in data reduction; It uses various statistical modelling and
machine learning techniques to analyse past data and predict the future outcomes

Prescriptive analytics – New form of analytics which uses a combination of business rules,
machine learning and computational modelling to recommend the best course of action for any
pre-specified outcome.

1.3 OVERVIEW OF THE INTERNSHIP

2 | 25 P a g e Industrial Training 2018-2019

At TRAZAN ELECTRONICS LTD I have been a part of solving many business
problems across different domains. In our interaction with them, I learned that there are many
business problems that are allowed to fester because our clients feel that there is no conceivable
solution or that they feel that the solution is too expensive and hence not worth the effort. I also
know that there are many proprietary solutions in the market that claim to solve such problems.
Through their experience I have learnt that a one size fits all approach does not work. It may
provide a partial cure but is definitely not a panacea for all business problems. Even despite
investing money and resources in proprietary analytics products the problem remains unsolved.
And that is where Trazan Electronics LTD makes a difference. The world is growing at an
enormous speed every moment, and at the same speed is growing the overall data size across the
globe, which technically constitutes the term known as ‘Big Data’. Apart from big data, a yet
another technological revolution that is taking the world by storm these days is ‘Artificial
Intelligence’ or AI and ‘Machine Learning’.

In simple terms, AI and machine learning is a set of technologies that empower connected
machines and computers to learn, evolve and improve upon their own learning by reiterating and
consistently updating the data bank through recursive experiments and human intervention.

As a matter of fact, the technological giants, corporations, and data scientists worldwide
are already foreseeing big data to make a huge difference in the overall AI and machine learning
landscape. In the annual Big Data Executive Survey conducted by New Vantage Partners this
year, 88.5% of top executives surveyed were found saying that AI is going to be the most
dominant factor that will have a disruptive impact on their companies. Let’s have a look how is it
going to realize in practical terms. Inherently, machine learning is defined as an advanced
application of AI in interconnected machines and peripherals by granting them access to
databases and making them learn new things from it on their own in a programmed manner. As
the size of big data is continuously growing and new grounds are being broken in analyzing its
implications as well, it is becoming more meaningful and contextually relevant for the machines
to have a better idea of their functions with the help of big data analysis.

For example, the automation infrastructure of a leather garments plant based in

Bangladesh that exports its products to the entire European market will be able to judge market
requirements for the coming winter season in much accurate and insightful manner if it is able to
access and analyze big data reports about the market, financial and weather conditions of that
area throughout the year.

CHAPTER 2
NATURE OF THE INTERNSHIP

4 | 25 P a g e Industrial Training 2018-2019

2.1 PURPOSE
The main purpose of the internship at TRAZAN Electronics Ltd is a big production
platform that enables making different electronics gadgets, exploration, analysis and
visualization to meet your business requirements. The platform has been built using open source
technologies that offer optimal performance to handle small volumes of gadgets production in
-real time. The solution platform eliminates complexity in integrating disparate sources,
transforming and analyzing them to discover valuable insights. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is
reaching into and transforming enterprise operations today. AI is now less artificial, emerging
from computer science laboratories to become a prevalent resource across industries for solving
real business problems. It is more intelligent as it unlocks new sources of value creation and
becomes a critical driver of competitive advantage by helping companies achieve new levels of
performance at greater scale, growth and speed than ever before.

2.2 TECHNICAL EXPOSURE GAINED

Facebook’s Artificial Intelligence Research (FAIR) has hosted the bAbI QA tasks
challenge since 2014 to encourage the research community to build machines that have the
capability to process Natural Language. The challenge has been segregated into twenty distinct
tasks that assess various distinct capabilities displayed by humans. The tests include complex
tasks such as co-reference resolution, time and space reasoning, path navigation, size reasoning
etc. sel is proud to claim that it has been able to build the core NLU engine that successfully
completed all the tasks with 100% accuracy using a single common framework. DataVal NLU
Core Engine is able to process the task without using large training datasets but by semantically
training the vocabulary based on real world knowledge. This unique approach of sel provides the
capability to build customised processing engines that can be used across different domains.

2.3 PROJECT DETAILS

2.3.1 Objective

5 | 25 P a g e Industrial Training 2018-2019

By achieving Human level of Natural Language Understanding, machines can assist us in
a totally new dimension. We feel that this technology can help us build Intelligent Virtual
assistants that can think beyond just fetching weather information or ordering pizzas. It can be
used in Knowledge based Search Engines which can understand what we want and give us
answers instead of showing millions of results. They can help in building Expert Systems, which
can assist professionals to do their job more efficiently. It can also play a vital role in content
validation for Social Networking Sites. Artificial intelligence (AI) makes it possible for
machines to learn from experience, adjust to new inputs and perform human-like tasks. Most AI
examples that you hear about today – from chess-playing computers to self-driving cars – rely
heavily on deep learning and natural language processing. Using these technologies, computers
can be trained to accomplish specific tasks by processing large amounts of data and recognizing
patterns in the data.

2.3.3 Design Methodology

6 | 25 P a g e Industrial Training 2018-2019

The Tarzan Electronics Ltd approach includes a comprehensive set of modules that carry
out syntactic and semantic production of gadgets. It has the ability to process facts as a set of
disparate events interconnected through time and space. The inbuilt intelligence enables the
engine to process queries to provide a meaningful response. The broad capabilities built as part
of the core engine is given in the figure 2.1.

Fig. 2.1 shows the design methodology

2.3.4 Implementation Details

The document is a case study of a project implemented at Tarzan Electronics Ltd

involving yield production of different electronics gadgets across a given geographical area. The
prediction pipeline custom built for this purpose, integrated data from multiple remote sensing
and weather forecasting sources to estimate the type and health of a crop. The multiple data
points measured across sample locations on a daily basis were used to predict the crop type,
acreage and yield across a region. As I explain in a report, How Machine Learning & Artificial
Intelligence Will Change BI & Analytics, we're already starting to see smart capabilities in five
areas: Data prep, discovery, analysis, prediction, and AI-powered prescriptive applications. My
research details investments being made by more than 20 startups and 14 established BI and
analytics vendors to advance the state of the art is shown in figure 2.2.

7 | 25 P a g e Industrial Training 2018-2019

Fig. 2.2 shows the implementation details of AI

Expect a steady drumbeat of announcements throughout 2018 and beyond about ML

applied to tasks including cleansing and combining data, discovering new data, and suggesting
new combinations of data that could, in turn, uncover important insights. Non-technical business
users will appreciate ML-powered suggestions on best-fit data visualizations. Automated
modeling features, meanwhile, will help non-technical business users tap into the power of
predictive analytics.

As noted, some of these capabilities are already starting to appear. My report details
which capabilities are available today, those starting to appear, and those we should expect in the
future. For example, natural language (NL) querying based on keywords available in column
headers has been with us for years. Some vendors are now using more advanced NL capabilities
that can discern nuances and intent in complete sentences (whether typed or translated from
voice with speech-to-text capabilities). On the cutting edge, systems are starting to retain the
context of queries; instead of asking one isolated question at a time, you'll have a responsive
dialogue with the data, drilling down and exploring from an initial query.

8 | 25 P a g e Industrial Training 2018-2019

Of course, many business users are more interested in action and outcomes than
interpreting reports, dashboards, and data visualization. These are the users more likely to take
advantage of the growing list of smart, ML- and AI-powered prescriptive applications emerging.
Here's where the context of decisions is built into business applications for sales, marketing, HR,
supply chain, logistics, and more. In these cases, the data analysis can be tuned to deliver
recommended next steps or even to automate actions sure to lead to desired outcomes.

These emerging capabilities will make BI, analytics, and data-driven decision-making
that much more accessible, understandable, and actionable for non-technical business users, but
embracing the new won't be as easy as waving a magic wand. I've spoken to practitioners who
were surprised and dismayed to see employees responding to ML- and AI-powered
recommendations in unexpected ways. Salespeople, for example, sometimes stubbornly pursue
leads deemed as less than promising by predictive scores. Here's where change management will
be crucial. As I explain in my report, delivering transparent and explainable AI that instills trust
will be crucial to making smart systems succeed. Analytics has been changing the bottom line
for businesses for quite some time. Now that more companies are mastering their use of
analytics, they are delving deeper into their data to increase efficiency, gain a greater competitive
advantage, and boost their bottom lines even more. That’s why companies are looking to
implement machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI); they want a more
comprehensive analytics strategy to achieve these business goals. Learning how to incorporate
modern machine learning techniques into their data infrastructure is the first step. For this many
are looking to companies that already have begun the implementation process successfully. There
are already plenty of speech and engagement analytics platforms that help leverage AI and
machine learning to capture better insights.

What are machine learning and AI? We begin with AI because it is the broader capability
of machines carrying out tasks in an intelligent way. Machine learning is an application of AI
that involves a particular type of data analysis to automatically build analytical models. Machine
learning operates on the premise that computers learn from data; the computers and their models
adapt independently as more data are fed to them. Machine learning is not a new capability, but it
is evolving as data mining becomes more critical to businesses who need to make sense of Big
Data. Thanks to AI and machine learning, companies can analyze more complex data and get
more accurate results. Specifically, companies in the customer engagement space utilize AI and
machine learning to analyze conversations, both those that end in a sale and those that don’t, and

9 | 25 P a g e Industrial Training 2018-2019

to automatically identify the language that typically leads to a sale or that predicts when a sale
will occur.

To help your company understand how machine learning and AI in data analysis can
benefit your business, we have rounded up examples of smart implementation, insights from the
experts, and business use cases to give you the information you need to start using these types of
advanced data analysis yourself. While it’s nice to hear about machine learning and AI in data
analysis in theory, we want you to know about it in practice from those who are getting it right. If
you feel that you need to keep up with the latest developments and trends, consider taking a
course or earning a certificate in data analytics. Please note, we have listed our 50 examples of
smart implementation of machine learning and AI in data analysis in alphabetical order to
simplify your search process; thus, they are not ranked or rated in any way.

2.3.5 Result Analysis

This document is a case study of customer analytics carried out for a particular client of
DataVal Analytics. Understanding the customer is crucial for any business to grow and hence
analytics plays a significant role in building a complete picture of the customer base. Analytics
carried out in this space includes segmentation analysis, churn prediction, geo-spatial analysis &
engagement metric analysis with a customer centric focus. Machine learning is a branch of
artificial intelligence that focuses on leveraging the large repositories of data to find patterns of
interest. With the potential of transforming businesses and accelerating scientific discoveries,
machine learning systems are set to play an increasingly important role in the foreseen future.
The group brings a strong track record in conducting research developing novel machine
learning methods, and adopting state-of-the-art techniques in a number of healthcare and smart
city related applications.

CHAPTER 3
OUTCOME OF THE INTERNSHIP
3.1 Impacts of Internship
The major impact of the internship is to provide the flexibility to integrate across
disparate data sources. It has the ability to connect seamlessly across different data sources and
carry out on-the-fly transformation for further analysis. The retrieved data can be re-organized
based on the task that needs to be executed. The Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence
Research Group and develops advanced machine learning and optimization methods, applying
multi-agent systems to smart cities and digital health. The group's main focus is machine
learning techniques and applications. Research in this group brings together a number of areas
closely related to this core focus.

3.2 Environment Learning

This internship expressed the integrated data from multiple remote sensing and weather
forecasting sources to estimate the type and health of a crop. The multiple data points measured

11 | 25 P a g e Industrial Training 2018-2019

across sample locations on a daily basis were used to predict the crop type, acreage and yield
across a region. With the advent of newer technologies and increasing scales of production, the
prices of AI and machine learning based solutions will fall considerably. This will result in a
massive adoption of these devices in third world nations which have diverse cultural, religious,
ethnic, linguistic and political affiliations and inclinations. Therefore, the artificial intelligence
and machine learning solutions to be provided in these markets will have to be trained and
skilled differently from each other.

While a small child can understand and speak Natural Language, the most complex
computer fails to achieve this simple task. We hypothesized that the main component of human
understanding is to understand the objects and concepts in the world that humans learn through
experience. There is also a need to know the cause and effect of actions performed by different
objects and formalize the relationship between them. We also hypothesized that to use the
information available, machines need the capability to carry out analysis and reasoning.

Hence we built our NLU capability on the basis of the Human Approach towards
Understanding. We have set up an elaborate framework for information classification that
provides universal knowledge representation. We also established an elaborate knowledge base
of Concepts, Actions, Relations and Common Sense Information. Our system also has the unique
capability to carry out Time and Space Reasoning based on the internal representation. The NLU
engine is hence able to use inferencing to carry out Syntactic and Semantic processing of Natural
Language Input.

It can also paly a vital role in content
validation for Social Networking Sites.

3.3 Analysis on Internship

The data ingested can now be analyzed using machine learning algorithms. The platform
has been optimized to work on large volumes of data using distributed computing architecture
along with workflow management so that the tasks can be coordinated & executed in real time.
The principle limitation of AI is that it learns from the data. There is no other way in which

12 | 25 P a g e Industrial Training 2018-2019

knowledge can be incorporated. That means any inaccuracies in the data will be reflected in the
results. And any additional layers of prediction or analysis have to be added separately.
Today’s AI systems are trained to do a clearly defined task. The system that plays poker
cannot play solitaire or chess. The system that detects fraud cannot drive a car or give you legal
advice. In fact, an AI system that detects health care fraud cannot accurately detect tax fraud or
warranty claims fraud.
In other words, these systems are very, very specialized. They are focused on a single
task and are far from behaving like humans.
Likewise, self-learning systems are not autonomous systems. The imagined AI
technologies that you see in movies and TV are still science fiction. But computers that can
probe complex data to learn and perfect specific tasks are becoming quite common.
In the on-going debate over whether Artificial Intelligence, and its allied technology
Machine Learning, can completely replace the human brain, many scientists are still not
convinced that machines can be trained to both “think” and “feel” like humans. AI research states
that when smart algorithms are exposed to patterns that are joyful or positive, they can learn to
recognize a “joyful” environment and respond accordingly.

Similar experiments with other human emotions may be successful in near future. The
hallmark of this learning process is recognition of past patterns. But, when environmental
parameters change, can machines mimic the “rational thinking” of a human brain and suitably
alter its reactions? Most analytical jobs such as that of a Business Analyst (BA) require critical
thinking and rethinking decisions based on dynamically changing situations. Can Artificial
Intelligence and Machine Learning systems branch off to different thinking modes as humans do
based on changing parameters?.
With the re-emergence of Machine Learning (ML) research over the past decade, the
global IT giants all rushed to take the lead role in bringing automated systems to the white-collar
professions. In the last five years, we have witnessed a meteoric growth of robots, digital
assistants, smart machines, automated bots, and apps in every industry sector from
manufacturing to marketing.
Venture Beat offers a thought-provoking argument about Why AI Won’t Replace All
Human Data Analysts, where the “holistic human experience” is considered to be the key driver
of the human analysis process. Rather than being replaced by robots, we will actually be
surrounded by a task force of automated systems for advanced analysis.

13 | 25 P a g e Industrial Training 2018-2019

The nature of the Business Analyst job is such that it may be conducted from any
location. This location-independent nature of this role also acts as some sort of a threat to certain
advanced economic environments. In Your Next Business Analyst Will be a Robot, the
articulated fear is not so much about the Robot Business Analyst, but about the rising supremacy
of contact technology around the globe, which enables US-based business leaders and operators
to recruit highly-skilled BAs in any part of the world.
Thanks to advanced technology, telecommuting in any white-collar profession is a
distinct possibility. So, in the near future, off-shore human BAs may replace the US-based BAs.
Further, the growth and popularity of BAs in virtual teams across the global business spectrum
has been well recorded in Succeeding as a Virtual Business Analyst.
Right now, the BA role has been partially or fully automated in banking, finance,
investment banking, or portfolio management. As Artificial Intelligence makes it easy to simulate
human thinking and actions using “learning algorithms,” the future possibilities are endless.
Nonetheless, it is probably too early to say that smart machines will replace the Business
Analyst in the AI world, but it is probably not incorrect to mention that currently, many BA tasks
in the above industry sectors have been taken over by robots, digital assistants or automated
apps. AI has made rapid strides in the field of Cognitive Computing, and may be a day will
come, when machines will be able to “think and decide” based on changing parameters, the way
the humans do.
Globally, banks and financial institutions are using AI-based system to prevent fraud and
money-laundering. Most of the customer-facing units in worldwide financial organizations use
chat bots and robot customer service representatives to handle the routine customer management
tasks. Recommendation Engines have been used for years to make judicious product and service
recommendations to banking, insurance, and finance industry customers. The article tiled AI
Applications in Banking to Look Out for in the Nest 5 Years offers some interesting case studies
of AI applications in the market.
In the field of investment banking, it is a commonly acknowledged fact that “thinking
algorithms” are providing technological support to BAs through automated valuations and pitch
book updates. The investment banking professionals prefer an outsourced service model, where
core AI or ML functionality will be available to them quickly and easily without much
downtime. Thus, the implication is that many of the manual tasks conducted by investment
bankers will be taken over by smart machines in future.
In 2016, a World Economic Forum (WEF) Report stated that in the near future, about 35
percent of existing job skills will be new. Although the over-publicized, Year 2020 impact of
14 | 25 P a g e Industrial Training 2018-2019
Artificial Intelligence is under the human scanner, many of the surveyed respondents of the
report believe that the newer technologies like Big Data, the Cloud, and Mobile Internet are the
agents of change for the future workplace.
White collar jobs will take the impact of data technologies, it is not clear whether a
Business Analyst in the AI world will perish. According to the article titled How Artificial
Intelligence Will Impact Accounting, KPMG made a formal announcement about working with
IBM Watson, a formidable AI solution in investigative intelligence.

3.4 Merits and Demerits of Internship

The insights and patterns retrieved by data mining algorithms can then be visualized in an
interactive manner to correlate with the business process on ground. Flexible display modules
provide the capability to dynamically change the representation to best suit the needs of the user.
Right now, the overall size of global markets for machine learning and artificial intelligence
based solutions is highly limited. With increasing proliferation of big data analysis into the
artificial intelligence and machine learning procedures, devices and machines will get smarter
and able to perform in a better manner.
This will lead to consistent improvement, enhancement and advancement in AI solutions
which will boost the market adoption of these solutions, giving rise to a high increase in their
market demand. In his analytical piece, James Canton, a well-known Big Data, and AI expert
suggests that as in near future even the network nodes, chips, sensors and the software programs
that will run IoT networks will be AI enabled via the cloud or at the chip or infrastructure level, it
will be impossible for the massive global IoT network of tomorrow that will process, distribute,
collect big data to enable us, humans, to run this network without a digital brain or AI based
solution that is smart enough to do this.
For example, big data analysis of AI best learning in the schools of rural and smaller
towns of Latin American regions ten years hence will help inconsistent modification and revision
of AI-based academic solutions, so that more schools and educational institutions will be
encouraged to adopt artificial intelligence into their training and teaching methods and the
market sector will witness a considerable growth accordingly.

3.5 Applications of Internship

This internship helps me to understand the application of Artificial Intelligence in machine
learning and data structures. Generally the Artificial Intelligence is the area of the computer

15 | 25 P a g e Industrial Training 2018-2019

science concerned with intelligent human behaviour. AI provides virtual shopping capabilities
that offer personalized recommendations and discuss purchase options with the consumer. Stock
management and site layout technologies will also be improved with AI. AI can analyze factory
IoT data as it streams from connected equipment to forecast expected load and demand using
recurrent networks, a specific type of deep learning network used with sequence data.
AI is used to capture images of game play and provide coaches with reports on how to better
organize the game, including optimizing field positions and strategy. For AI to function
effectively, data must be integrated and well-structured. This requires employing big data
techniques such as data collection, data storage, data cleansing etc. Structured analytics and
centralized data processes ensure that data is standardized and offer a uniform view for decision
making. For instance, retailers can use structured data analytics to get a uniform view of their
customers (i.e. past purchase history, usual preferences, and products least favored etc.). Having
this uniform view of customer data can help these companies draw deeper insights from AI to
predict further trends — like how certain products would perform in the future, and make highly
personalized recommendations based on these insights.
Going ahead, we will see companies that successfully combine big data analytics and AI to be at
the forefront of technology led transformations.
Most importantly, AI, or any other technology for that matter, succeeds when it is used with a
strategic vision. This requires careful assessment of an organization’s objectives, identifying the
critical problem areas/challenges where AI can make an impact, and an understanding of its own
data and how this data can be used to support advanced technologies like AI to solve real
business problems.
In conclusion, Big Data and AI need each other and together can make a very powerful
combination for businesses in their quest for intelligent decision making.
Building intelligent AI products and platforms requires a clear roadmap to leverage value out of
data trapped in large siloed pools to answer the most critical business issues and provide greater
stakeholder value. Ness enables leading organizations to realize their AI potential helping them
uncover real opportunities and value of out of their data. At sel Analytics we have been a part of
solving many business problems across different domains. I learn that there are many business
problems that are allowed to fester because our clients feel that there is no conceivable solution
or that they feel that the solution is too expensive and hence not worth the effort. We also know
that there are many proprietary solutions in the market that claim to solve such problems.
Through their experience we have learnt that a one size fits all approach does not work. It may
provide a partial cure but is definitely not a panacea for all business problems. Even despite
16 | 25 P a g e Industrial Training 2018-2019
investing money and resources in proprietary analytics products the problem remains unsolved.
And that is where sel Analytics makes a difference.

CHAPTER 4
CONCLUSION AND FUTURE DIRECTION
Sel Analytics has created a core engine that helps machines understand natural language.
I believe that Natural Language Understanding (NLU) capability is of significant importance for
building the next generation of applications. I realized that most of the current global effort is
focused towards a data driven approach based on statistical modelling. After deliberate research
and trying multiple existing approaches I decided to take the road less taken. So I focused effort
towards understanding how humans processed Natural Language.

The core engine uses syntactic and semantic processing of textual inputs using
knowledge of the real world to extract information. The extracted information is stored in a
proprietary framework that enables context tracking of entities along with time and space
reasoning.

Future direction

E-commerce – Using ML businesses can predict customer churn and fraudulent transaction.
Also predicting which product customer will click on.

Marketing – There are many examples of ML in B2B marketing. Common use case is
identifying and acquiring prospects with attributes similar to existing customers. They can also
prioritize known prospects, leads, and accounts based on their likelihood to take action.

17 | 25 P a g e Industrial Training 2018-2019

Customer service – Satisfaction Prediction made by Zendesk uses a machine learning algorithm
to process results of historical satisfaction surveys, learning from signals such as the total time to
resolve a ticket, response delay, and the specific wording of tickets cross-referenced with
customer satisfaction ratings.

Medical Diagnosis – Medical professionals can use a program modelled using ML to predict the
likeliness of a particular illness. The model will use a database of patient records and will make
predictions based on symptoms exhibited by the patient. Organizations and technology
companies are employing machine learning based predictive analytics to gain an edge over the
rest of the market. Machine learning advancements such as neural networks and deep learning
algorithms can discover hidden patterns in unstructured data sets and uncover new information.
But building a comprehensive data analysis and predictive analytics strategy requires big data
and progressive IT systems. 30 minutes Free Consultation

18 | 25 P a g e Industrial Training 2018-2019

In the next 10 to 20 years we can expect to see a major turnaround in economic
achievements, at least in the developed part of the world, due to numerous contributions of AI. If
humans and machines learn to work together now, then very soon the “physical-digital
teamwork” can transform workplaces around the world. The availability of low-cost hardware
and advanced software – coupled with revolutionary technologies like Big Data, Cloud, and IoT
– has the potential to develop the new world of business analysis, where nitty-gritty routine work
will be handled by machines and the innovative analytics strategies will be architected by
humans.
The Technology article titled Artificial Intelligence May Change the Face of Business
promises that AI will help to enhance the capabilities of a human Business Analyst. Further, the
article titled Artificial Intelligence Human Data Analyst states that the BA in the new Artificial
Intelligence workplace will sufficiently mitigate the global challenge of supply-side shortages in
the field of Business Analysis. Going by the current stream of AI research and spiking growth of
automated systems in business analysis, one can safely conjecture that in the next 10 years, the
human Business Analyst will collaborate and partner with Artificial Intelligence and Machine
Learning solutions to analyze, measure, and refine business processes. The article titled How
Business Analysis Will Evolve discusses this in detail. In fact, the “smart systems” will work at
tandem with humans to watch and learn, so that one day they can deliver decisions like the
human BA does now.
As domain expertise is become increasingly important in Data Science jobs, very soon
we may witness one expert doubling up as a domain expert and a Business Analyst. The general
perception of the BA role is that a professional may be tasked with different activities from one
project to another. The Hybrid BA can well serve the technical team by wearing the domain-
expert hat or the BA hat as needed. The page titled Hybrid Business Analyst roles provides vivid
descriptions of many possible Hybrid BA roles.
Although the widespread belief is that smart machines are only capable of replacing
factory workers or drivers, increasingly, advanced AI and ML technologies are delivering
solutions that pose a direct threat to at least 10 professional (white collar) jobs. Many jobs in the
banking, insurance, HR, paralegal, marketing, and healthcare domains are already being
conducted by digital assistants, robots, or automated systems. Very soon, more industry sectors
will watch these economical business practices, and learn to adopt them within their own
domains.

The Forbes blog post titled Surprisingly These 10 Professional Jobs Are Under Threat
from Big Data will tell you which jobs are at risk because of advanced AI technologies, but one
thing is for sure: The global IT industry will witness a rise of qualified IT professionals to
monitor and maintain these smart systems.
According to Which IT Jobs Will Survive Automation? by Economic Times, process-
