Academic Project
Project Title: Formulation and Evaluation of Solid Dispersion of Meloxicam.

Location: JNTUA –Oil Technological and Pharmaceutical Research Institute

Project details: To enhance the solubility and dissolution of poor soluble drugs like meloxicam by
solid dispersion technique. Meloxicam having low bioavailability as it is poor soluble drug. Solid
dispersion technique is used for the enhancement of solubility and dissolution rate.Increase in
solubility and Invitro drug release profiles were evaluated with different grades of polaxomer

Results: Highest solubility and faster dissolution rate was exhibited by the solid dispersion containing
polaxomer 188 in 1:6 ratio.
