Taking Village History to Our Youth Project

ISO NEIGHBORHOOD VOLUNTEERS
FOR TIME-LIMITED SPECIFIC TASKS

The BVS ‘Taking Village History to Our Youth’ Project is in IMMEDIATE need of
volunteers to perform the following tasks.

1. Reviewers/Raters/Interviewers of Applicants for Curriculum Development

Contract.
 Five (5) persons have formally requested and been sent Application Guidelines
for a Curriculum Development Specialist Contract in the amount of $5000.
 Completed Contract Proposals are due August 5, 2019.
 Contracts will be reviewed and rated, and interviews of selected applicants will
occur August 5 – August 11.
 Volunteer Reviewers/Raters/Interviewer activities will involve a total of
approximately 6 hours of effort.
a) Review of contracts and preliminary ratings will require an estimated
20 to 30 minutes per application (total of 2.5 hours) and may occur
at reviewer’s leisure, but must be completed by August 8.
b) Ratings will be ratified, applicants to be interviewed will be selected, and
identification of focus of interviews will involve a 1- hour meeting (or
conference call) of all reviewers.
c) Candidate Interviews involving all reviewers will be conducted at a
meeting (or conference calls) between August 5 – 11 and involve a
total of 1 to 2 hours.
d) Selection of contract awardee will involve a meeting (or conference call)
of less than 1 hour on August 13.

2. Lawyer or Contract Specialist

 This volunteer will draft a straight-forward Curriculum Development Specialist
Contract including its basic terms (e.g., scope of work as noted in Application
Requirements, contract cancellation, payment schedule, timelines/benchmarks,
etc.) as well as boilerplate language (e.g., various kinds of rights, liabilities
etc.) that hopefully will be completed and ratified by August 15, 2019.
 Estimated time required: 2 to 3 hours.
