Narrative Reporting Officer: Przybyla, Laura 50 Narrative Date/Time: 07/25/2019 10:52

On July 24, 2019 around 10:15 a.m., called the Cleveland Metroparks Police Department tip line
and reported that her friend was robbed at gunpoint the day before (July 23rd) in the Rocky River Reservation, but
was afraid to report it to police.

was asked to come to Headquarters to provide more information. She arrived later in the morning.
lives in with her daughter . is friends with and works with a female ( declined to provide a
name) who confided with them she was robbed. This female works in and on July 23rd, drove to
the park and parked in a lot north of Lorain Road Bridge off Valley Parkway. said she explained it as "not
the lot the recent double murders were at; the one just north of that." She arrived between 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
and smoked a cigarette outside her car. She told and her daughter that two males put a gun to her head
and demanded money. When she said she didn't have any money, they said they saw a purse in her car and
forced her to walk to her car and give them the cash from her purse. The two males were described as a white
male and a black male, both possibly in their late teens or early twenties.

When I inquired about why her friend did not want to report this to police, stated the female is in an abusive
marriage and is afraid her husband would harm her .

The only information I could obtain from was that her friend is of descent, possibly lives close to
and works at in . was given a business card with my contact number
to provide to her friend, because the incident is of concern and could be relevant to our open homicide case that
occurred in that vicinity on June 4th.

At this time, none of the information provided could be verified or otherwise substantiated.

Narrative Type: Supplement Topic: Victim Interview

Narrative Reporting Officer: Przybyla, Laura 50 Narrative Date/Time: 07/25/2019 20:04

On July 25, 2019 at approximately 3:55 p.m., I arrived at , located at

in , along with FBI Task Force Officer Dave Jacobs. We were able to locate , who
was working in . was in and a
woman was seated next to her. The female was confirmed to be the victim from this incident.

We interviewed in a private room nearby. provided us with the victim's name, but cautioned us that
the victim did not want her name in any police report, as she is fearful of her husband. explained that her
and the victim have been friends since 2015 and are very close. They live close and, on most days,
. On most days, the two stop in the Metroparks for the victim to smoke a cigarette before going home. The
victim's husband and would not approve. On this particular day (July 23rd),
and the two drove to work . said around 2:00 p.m., they were done with work
for the day and she decided to lay down and tap a nap at the office before leaving as she had a migraine. The
victim left work and at 2:51 p.m., starting receiving almost a dozen phone calls from the victim. A voicemail
was still on 's phone, which played for us. The victim sounds frantic and says "Hey , it's an
emergency. Please call me back as soon as you hear this message ." was woken up a short time later by
the victim. The victim drove back to work after the robbery. The victim told she stopped at Morley's Ford
Picnic Area to stop for a cigarette. While smoking her cigarette, two males robbed her by putting a gun to her
head. calmed the victim down and tried to obtain details of the event and descriptions of the males.
observed a red abrasion to her right temple. provided the victim with $40.00, the amount she was
robbed of, in case her husband checked her purse. tried to talk the victim into reporting the crime to police,
especially since this was not far from the homicides that occurred in the park on June 4, 2019. The victim refused
and told her she could not, in fear of her husband finding out. This interview was audio recorded.

We spoke with the victim next. She was hesitant, but eventually agreed to speak with us regarding the details of
the robbery. The victim does not want to pursue any type of charges and does not consent to being named a
reportee or victim in any police report. She said her and usually stop for a cigarette in the Metroparks after
work. Usually, they park at the North Mastick Picnic Area, closer to Puritas Road. But, on July 23rd, she decided
to drive to Morley's Ford Picnic Area to smoke. She believes she left work shortly after 2:00 p.m. When she
arrived, there was a dark green sport utility vehicle with tinted windows parked in a space. She parked three spots
from the entrance, head in, directly next to the green SUV. She noticed two white females, possible in their
twenties, in the front seats. They backed out of the spot and left the parking lot after a few minutes of her being
there.

The victim was now the only person in the area. She exited her vehicle and lit a cigarette. She leaned her left
shoulder on her driver's door window and faced the roadway while she smoked. When she was halfway through
smoking her cigarette, two males approached her from behind. One of them patted her waist area down and said
"we're okay." The other male simultaneously pointed the muzzle of a pistol to her right temple and said "give me
your money." The victim told them she did not have any money. One of them said "she's got a purse on the
passenger side." They demanded she unlock her car. She fumbled for her keys and repeatedly told them they
could take anything; that she has . She unlocked the vehicle with her key fob. A male ran in front of her,
around the back of her car, to her front passenger side door. All she could see was that he was a white male with
a thin build and wearing some type of gloves. He went into her purse and took only cash. She had two $20.00
bills. He said "we got what we want, let's go." They then ran into the woods. As the one holding the gun to her
head ran away, she felt something sharp scratch her temple and worried that she was bleeding. She speculated
that the gun might have been sharp or it was his fingernail that scratched her. The victim was able to tell that the
male holding the gun to her head was a black male, as she could see his forearm. He wore a dark colored ski
mask and gloves. She described them as dark colored and tight, maybe a thin winter glove. He had a deeper
voice and smelled of "skunk" (i.e., marijuana). He seemed to be the one in control. No other identifying
characterics were seen such as tattoos or a clothing description.

As soon as the males went into the woodline, she immediately got into her car and locked the doors. She stayed
there for about five minutes, trying to compose herself. She left, still shaky. She turned left out of the lot and
headed south on Valley Parkway. She kept her eyes on the east side of the parkway, hoping she could see them
or a car and take a picture. She saw no one. She called over and over with no answer. She arrived back at
her workplace and told what happened.
