1.0 Overview
Certain Cases of E5 A-Series Card Boot May Cause HIPR2 Cards to Boot and Result in the STP Node
Booting (Node Isolation) (Doc ID: 2164046.1)

1.1 List of Requirements

1. 1 x each Site - Eagle STP USB Removable Media (Part # 804-2153-R01)

2. Access to My Oracle Support (MOS) account to download the Patch Number = 24368436
3. Personal Computer (To be used to download, rename and copy the file to the USB media)
4. Personnel on site in order to insert the USB Removable Media with the target GPL in to the Eagle
STP.
5. Data capture of the activity for documentation purposes.
6. EAGLE Signal Transfer Point (STP) running R45.0.1.
7. Inter-Module-Transport (IMT) Buses A and B free of alarms or errors. Please refer to procedure 6
of this document for sanity checks.

1.2 Recommendations:

1. Patching activity to be executed during a scheduled maintenance activity.

2. Customer to distribute the Patch Number = 24368436 internally to each site location before the
planned activity.
3. IMT Sanity checks of the system before and after activity is completed is recommended.
4. If the IMT of the target system is not in service normal, or showing symptoms of faulty
components the patching activity must be postponed until the abnormal condition is resolved.
5. Estimated Times (for an average size system):

2- System Data Backups – (30 minutes).
3- Patching Installation (20 minutes).
