LESSON PLAN IN THE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM

Content: Coordinated Functions of the Reproductive, Endocrine, and Nervous Systems

Content Standard: The learners demonstrate an understanding of organisms as having
feedback mechanisms, which are coordinated by the nervous and
endocrine systems
Performance Standard: ---
Topic/Title: Parts and Functions of the Reproductive System
Grade Level: Grade 10
Time Allotment: 1 hour
Learning Competency: Describe the parts of the Reproductive System and their functions.
S10LT-IIIa-33

I. Objectives:

At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:

a. Identify the major male and female reproductive organs in the
body and their functions;
b. Locate the different reproductive organs in a picture or illustration;
c. Appreciate the importance of hormones and the reproductive
system in reproduction.

II. Subject Matter:

a. Manila paper
b. Colored papers
c. Marker
d. Female and Male Reproductive System illustrations
e. Cards containing a part of the Reproductive System
f. Sticky notes
g. Crown
D. Concepts:
a. Testis produces sperm cells
b. Scrotum is a sac of skin that holds the testis
c. Penis deposits sperms into the vagina during mating
d. Vas deferens carries the sperm from testes to urethra
e. Urethra carries sperm and urine out of the body
f. Seminal vesicle secretes a fluid that makes up most of the
components of the semen
g. Prostate gland secretes a slightly alkaline milky fluid that is
discharged as part of the semen
h. Bulbourethral gland secretes a thick and clear mucus that
lubricates and neutralizes the any trace of acidic urine in the
urethra
