Introduction

Home plays a huge role in education because students come into the classroom with

thought and situation that they have acquired from their homes.Some students pre conceived

nation of values and moral that they learned from home.Some of this ideas are use to bring class

together instead of apart.Some student do not have stable home and this can cause many problem

in the students ability to be educated.

Parent also play an important role for better performance of their children.Parents are the

most influential people in the livesof their children.They provide the child with an array of early

experience and circumtances which allow the child to develop his knowledge , habits , skills

,abilities , And values in the life.Parent play an important role in education of their children.Start

with the first inspiration coming from them.They Play the first and most decisive role in making

the child an effective force in advancement of a better nation. (Albone , 2002).

Background of the study
Statement of the problem

This study aimed to answer what are the INFLUENCE OF HOME ENVIRONMENT TO
THE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OFg GRADE 12 STUDENTS IN PAGALANGGANG
NATIONAL HIG SCHOOL.

Specially, this study sought to answer the following problem.

1. How may the profile of the respondents be described in terms of:

1.1 age

1.2 gender ; and

1.3 economic status

1.4 General Average of First semester of Grade11 at Grade 12

2. How may the home environment influence the students in their academic performance as
regard to:

2.1 distance from home to school ;

2.2 economic status of the family ; and

2.3 proper guidance of the parents;

3. What is the implication of the finding to the academic performance of grade 12 students in
school.
Significance of the study

- It is important for the teachers to know what influences affect the students academic
performance in school so that she may decide on how to improve the performance of his
students.

- The findings of the study may provide helpful information to the teacher on how she
manage the teaching learning process as well as what techniques and strategies she will employ
in classroom setting with different problem and difficulties of student when it comes to academic
performance.

- this study helps the teacher to be able to determine what factor or influences can effect
the students academic performance as well as how she teach students with different environment
at home.

- This study also helps the students , as they are the center of teaching.Learning process
in a way that , whaterver positive efforts made by the teacher inside the classroom will lead to
their better performance in school.
Scope And Delimitation

The study is conducted to find out the HOME ENVIRONMENT THAT INFLUENCE
THE ACADEMIC OF GRADE 12 STUDENTS IN PAGALANGGANG NATIONAL HIGH
SCHOOL DURING YEAR 2018 - 2019.Included in this study were the profile of the
respondents describe as to gender , age and economic status.The study is limited to the home
environment influencing the academic performance which are distance from home to school,
economic status of the family and proper guidance of the parent.
