Attendance Policy: It is mandatory to attend at least 70% lectures(=28 lectures) and

70% tutorials(=10 tutorials). In case you do not meet these requirements, you will fail the
course irrespective of the exam scores.

You will not be allowed inside the classroom 5 minutes after the class begins and you
will not be allowed to leave the class until the class is over.

If you fall sick then a medical certificate must be produced from a doctor from the Health
Center. If you are on academic leave, then such a leave must be approved by the SUGC. In
both these cases your attendance will be marked.

Problems and queries related to the biometric attendance facility should be directly
discussed with the biometric cell from the DoAA office. The instructors will not entertain
any requests related to these issues.

Examination Details and Rules: There will be 2 quizzes (15% weightage each),
one mid-semester examination (30% weightage), and final end-semester examination (40%
weightage).

The marking scheme for all the quizzes and exams will be available on the course web
page after the exam.

It is mandatory to carry I-cards to the examination halls. Section-wise seating arrange-

ment must be strictly followed.

Attendance in the end-semester examination is compulsory to pass the course. Make-

up examination is possible only for the end-semester examination with permission from the
SUGC.

No prorating requests will be entertained for absence in any quiz or exam.

Cases of dishonesty and cheating during quizzes and examinations have serious conse-

to SSAC for possible disciplinary action.

In case you submit a regrade request without any merit, the instructor reserves the right
to deduct 1 mark per such request.

Relative grading policy will be used while assigning grades but it is necessary to score at
