I. Objectives
At the end of the discussion, the pupils are able to attain at least 75% level of proficiency to:

a. Identify the basic needs of humans, animals, and plants.


b. Compare the similarities and differences in the basic needs of humans, animals, and plants.
c. Show appreciation and understanding on the importance of meeting the basic needs of humans,
animals, and plants.

Reference : Science 3 Teacher’s Guide, pages 111-112
Materials : Pictures, Manila Paper, Pentel Pen

How are you this morning? We are fine ma’am!
That’s good to hear from you!

So to start our class, may I request ( Together teacher and pupils began praying)
everyone to stand for a prayer.

as presented by each set which is related to the

1. Motivation

How do you know when you are hungry? Our stomach grumbles or growls
We feel weak. Stomach aches
No energy and no strength
What did you do to regain your strength?
We ate food.
When you are thirsty,what do you feel?
Weak, throat dryness
Do you think you can survive without eating food or
drinking water in a couple of days? No
2. Presentation
This morning we will discuss about “ The
Basic Needs of Human, Animals and Plants”.

3. Discussion

Activity: I will group you into three.


What you will do is to list down the things Pupils will do the task.
that human, animals, and plants need necessary for (Pupils’ answers may vary)
them to live. Group 1 will be assigned to list human
needs, Group 2 animals’ need and Group 3 Plants’
need. Once you are done post your work on the
board. Give each group manila paper and pentel
pen to do the activity.

Ouestion: From the activity that you have, What is Basic Needs are those things which human, animals
