INTRODUCTION

When talking about education people often confuse it with schooling. Many think of
places like schools or colleges when seeing or hearing the word. They might also
look to particular jobs like teacher or tutor. The problem with this is that while looking
to help people learn, the way a lot of schools and teachers operate is not necessarily
something we can properly call education.

Education is the guiding to light in the path of our success. Education can be defined
as the process of acquiring knowledge, belief, values, skill and habits, which teaches
us to be a true human being. Whatever we learnt whether imposed or willingly comes
under the domain of education.

Education can be formal, informal and non-formal. It employs different educational

techniques and methods like lecture method, storytelling, learning by doing etc.
Generally it starts from pre-school to university stage.

According to Aristotle,” Education is the creation of a sound mind in a sound body.’

According to John Dewey,” Education is the process of continuous reconstruction of

experience.

Therefore, education can be termed as the basic needs of one’s life. Education cures
the different social evils and discrimination from the society. An educated person
contributes great share in the national development. Education promotes
brotherhood, fraternity, liberty and establishes justice. It is a process of rediscovering
oneself and contributes to bring peace and harmony in the society.
ETYMOLOGY OF EDUCATION

Education is a lifelong process which brings change of behaviour in a desired way.

Different scholars have different opinion regarding origin of the term education. The
term education is believed to be derived from the following Latin words.

The world education comes from the Latin world e-ducere, mean “to lead out”. It is
indeed, difficult to define education. Education is a relentless process of becoming.
To the human being we educate and to the animal we train. According to Wikipedia
Encyclopedia, education in the broadest sense is any act or experience that has a
formative effect on mind, character or physical ability of an individual. In its technical
sense education is a process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated
knowledge, skills and values from one generation to another.

Education is the basis for development and empowerment for every nation. It plays
a vital role in understanding and participating in day to day activities of today’s world.
It builds one’s character and plays a significant role in transmitting one’s culture,
belief and values to others in society. It helps in creating innovations and meeting
the growing needs of every nation. The development of a nation is not measured
through the buildings it has built, the roads it has laid down, bridges it has
constructed but by the human resources, the nation has developed through a well-
defined system of education. Although the physical facilities are usually important
they are perishable and valuable. In the absence of proper education, the nation can
hardly develop these and maintain them. Education is therefore more crucial factor
not only to equip the new generations with skills so essential for earning a livelihood
but also to create among them an awareness to social and environmental realities
and inculcate in them scientific temper, independence of mind and spirit which are
of paramount importance for them to become responsible citizens.
WHY IS IMPORTANT

Education plays a vital role to a productive, good life. It improves the value and
excellence of one's life as well. "How sCI?" you might ask. Well, a good education
eradicates poverty. By getting a college degree, you are able to get satisfying job
that pays well. Because of your salary, you will be able to afford a good home,
clothing, food, and other necessities of life. Having a degree also comes into play
when wanting to be a good parent. Studies have shown that mothers who have gone
to school have healthier, better-nourished children, who are most likely to succeed.
Also, women who go through school and go to college marry later, have fewer kids,
and have improved parental care, Education augments the ability of families to
handle health problems. It opens people up to numerous opportunities, and isnt that
what every parent wants for their children and themselves? Studies have also shown
that education is the most valuable and efficient weapon against HIV, AIDS, and
other diseases. Schooling also helps prevent the risks of traffickiilg, labor, and sexual
abuse of children.

Education motivates self-assurance and provides us with the things we need to

partake in today's world. It makes us more independent and aware of what is going
on in the world today, along with the awareness of opportunities and rights. It offers
a greater understanding of one's capability and potential as well. As you can see,
education is an essential elemento a successful, happy life. There are so many more
opportunities that open up for a person that has a college degree. Ihave every
intention on continuing my schooling after high school. Ifutthermore intend on getting
a well-paying, enjoyable job. I only have one chance to grow up, so why not do it
right by giving back to my community, country, and world? I know it may be a lot of
hard work, but dont you think getting a good education pays off in the end?
EDUCATION SISTEM

The term education system generally refers to public schooling, not private
schooling, and more commonly to kindergarten through high school programs.
Schools or school districts are typically the smallest recognized form of “education
system” and countries are the largest. States are also considered to have education
systems.

Simply put, an education system comprises everything that goes into educating
public-school students at the federal, state, or community levels:

 Laws, policies, and regulations

 Public funding, resource allocations, and procedures for determining funding
levels
 State and district administrative offices, school facilities, and transportation
vehicles
 Human resources, staffing, contracts, compensation, and employee benefits
 Books, computers, teaching resources, and other learning materials
 And, of course, countless other contributing elements

While the term education system is widely and frequently used in news media and
public discourse, it may be difficult to determine precisely what the term is referring
to when it is used without qualification, specific examples, or additional explanation.

Like the teaching profession, education systems are, by nature, extremely complex
and multifaceted, and the challenges entailed in reforming or improving them can be
similarly complex and multifaceted. Even reforms that appear to be straightforward,
simple, or easily achieved may, in practice, require complicated state-policy
changes, union-contract negotiations, school-schedule modifications, or countless
other conditions.
CONCLUTION

Education is of utmost importance for eradicating the unemployment problem of our

country. It is also essential to improve the trade and commerce, and to bring
prosperity to our country. However, apart from an improved system of general
education, there is a great need for the growth of vocational education.

A student must be familiar with the history, geography, religion, culture and
tradition, through general education. Therefore, general education should aim at
educating all students up to the secondary standard. Thereafter, depending upon
the aptitude of the student, he should either opt for advanced academic
education or join a vocational training institute for skill-based training.
A LITTLE PARAGRAPH

Education is the most valuable key to success. The power of education is not only
in the academic knowledge but also finding your place in the world and acquiring life
experience. It takes all the necessary steps to facilitate our life and give us skills
which will be appreciated by our families and employers. Valuable education
prepares people for life and work and creates a bridge to the secured future. The
real education gives decision-making and problem-solving skills and a clear career
path. People who have a worthy education, often have high-ranked positions in their
career and lead a satisfactory life. To give an illustration, Steve Jobs dropped in on
cryptography course in college, and he did not even realize that his acquired
knowledge from cryptography course might change history. Later when he was trying
to create a new Mac, he used the skills which he had gained from that course, and
Mac became the first computer which had beautiful typography. To conclude, good
education always remains in its place. However, sometimes people do not notice the
fact that the knowledge which they learn today, they may use tomorrow or maybe
ten years later. People are part of the world where they must learn continuously and
exceed all the expectations while using knowledge gained from education; they must
find a path to their lives.
