RESPECTFULLY REQUESTING THE HONORABLE TEODORICO T. HARESCO,

CONGRESSMAN, SECOND DISTRICT PROVINCE OF AKLAN TO
EXTEND/PROVIDE FUND FOR THE CONCRETING OF FARM TO MARKET
ROAD AT BARANGAY STA. CRUZ and TAYHAWAN, LEZO, AKLAN.

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Lezo, Aklan is the smallest town in the province
of Aklan, whereby the main source of income of the majority of its residence is farming;

WHEREAS, majority of its residents in Brgy. Sta. Cruz and Tayhawan, Lezo,
Aklan, most especially the farmers and the commuters, always dreamed of a road
concreting projects so that their agricultural products be easily transported from their
respective areas to the public market;

WHEREAS, because of the urgent request of the residents and in the interest of
public welfare, this Honorable August Body deemed it wise to knock from the bottom of
the heart of the good Congressman, Honorable Teodorico T. Haresco;

NOW, THEREFORE, in view of the foregoing and upon motion of Sangguniang

Bayan Member ____________________, duly seconded by Sangguniang Bayan
Member__________________, it was resolved as it is hereby.

RESOLVED, to request the Honorable Teodorico T. Haresco, Congressman,

Second District of Aklan, to extend/provide fund for the concreting of Farm-to-Market
Road in Brgy. Sta. Cruz and Tayhawan, all of the Municipality of Lezo, Aklan;

RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the following are identified projects being

requested by this Honorable August Body, to wit:

Name of Barangay Project

Concreting of Roads
Sta. Cruz, Lezo, Aklan 1.5 km. Farm-to-Market Road

RESOLVED, FINALLY, to forward copies of this resolution to the Honorable

Teodorico T. Haresco, Congressman, Second District, Province of Aklan for his kind
consideration and favorable approval, and also to the Honorable Municipal Mayor,
Mary Lenette R. Fernandez. for her favorable endorsement/ recommendation on the
matter.

RESPECTFULLY REQUESTING THE HONORABLE TEODORICO T. HARESCO,

CONGRESSMAN, SECOND DISTRICT PROVINCE OF AKLAN TO
EXTEND/PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE CONCRETING OF THE STA.CRUZ-
TAYHAWAN-AGCAWILAN-SILAKAT NONOK PROVINCIAL ROAD.

WHEREAS, Section 447 of the Local Government Code of 1991 mandates that the
Sangguniang Bayan as the legislative body of the municipality, shall enact ordinances,
approve resolutions and appropriate funds for the general welfare of the municipality
and its inhabitants;

WHEREAS, Section 16 of the same Code provides that the Local Government Unit
shall exercise the powers expressly granted, those necessarily implied therefrom, as well
as powers necessary and appropriate incidental for its efficient and effective governance
essential to the promotion of the general welfare;

WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the municipal government to protect and

manage government owned properties and facilities in order to promote proper usage
and preserve the comfort and convenience of its inhabitants;

WHEREAS, the Tayhawan provincial road going to Agcawilan despite being

unpaved is frequently used not only by farmers by commuters, visitors and tourists and
serves as an alternative route towards the towns of Malinao and Makato;

WHEREAS, there is a need to develop said area in order to attract more visitors
and tourists to visit this Municipality;

WHEREAS, because of the urgent request the towns people of Lezo and in the
interest of public welfare, this Honorable August Body thought it wise to knock from the
bottom of the heart of the good Congressman, Honorable Teodorico T. Haresco;

NOW, THEREFORE, in view of the foregoing and upon motion of Sangguniang
