1 Dead Loads
Dead loads are gravity loads which include the weight of all materials and fixed equipment
incorporated into the building or other structure including but not limited to walls, floors, roofs, ceilings,
stairways, built-in partitions, finishes, cladding and other similarly incorporated architectural and structural
items, and fixed service equipment, including the weight of cranes.. Dead loads are permanent loads in
which variations over time are rare or of small magnitude.
Partitions = 1.0kPa
Concrete fill finish = 0.023kPa
Wood studs, plastered two = 0.96kPa
Slab (150mm) = 3.6kPa
Utilities = 0.24 kPa
Floor Topping = 0.59 KPa
Ceiling(Suspended Channel
with Acoustic Board) = 0.15 kPa
Buildings, towers and other vertical structures, including the Main Wind-Force Resisting System
(MWFRS) and all components and cladding thereof, shall be designed and constructed to resist wind loads
as specified in Section 207 of NSCP 2015 7th edition.
