model.
・ This manual describes the configuration, handling procedure and the precaution statement of
“Mi-Home BURURU’.
・Please read this manual before using and operate safety.
・Please keep this manual after use and read again whenever it is needed.
・This manual can be downloaded from our website.

Caution also has possibility of serious accident due to certain situation so please make sure to read
carefully and follow its instruction.

1.3 Safety concerns
・To prevent harm user or others or damage properties, some important details are mentioned for safety use.
・Please read Safety concerns and follow the details before use.
・Please read other operation manual connected to this manual carefully and operate ‘Mi-Home BURURU ‘ for
Safety use.
Warning
This product is designed to be safety conscious. However, it is dangerous if wrong handling of electric product
and cause a fire or electrification. Please read following to prevent any accident.
If any defect
Abnormal noise, smell / abnormally hot temperature / smoke
① Disconnect the plug from the outlet.
② Consult our sales branch or ACE division.

1.4 Overall precautions of product
Warning
Do not allow liquid or foreign objects to get into the control unit, cable or cord.
It may cause a fire, electrification, or malfunction. If that happen, please make sure to disconnect power supply
cord and consult with us to avoid further trouble.
Do not place the product close to oily smoke, wet location, or dusty area.
It may cause a fire, electrification.
When the lightning hit, do not touch power supply cord, USB cable, or product.
It may cause electrification.
If no operation for extended period of time, please disconnect the plug from the outlet.
It may cause a fire, electrification.

Do not cover the vent of control unit
For prevention from a fire, injury or malfunction,
・ Place the control unit more than 10cm away from the wall.
・ Do not place the control unit on the blanket, thick carpet.
・ Do not place the control unit into the closed area with less ventilation.
・ Do not swathe the unit in cloth.
・ Keep out dust.
Caution
Arrange the cable layout not to interfere with the product body.
Do not stand on or put on the product. Do not stack the product with other devices to prevent injury or
machine malfunction.
Do not place the product or devices on the floor which may cause someone to trip or stumble.
Do not connect the cables without power supply cord uncabled to prevent electrification.

1.5 Precaution for logistics and storage
Warning
Keep away from direct sunlight and high temperatures or cause a fire or malfunction.
Caution
Beware of hand-carry.
Please ensure the product to be carried with a good grip, or it may drop causing potential damage or injury.

1.6 Precaution for operation
Warning
Do not put your hand into the table during the passage of a current.
Do not allow anybody close to motional range of the table during the passage of a current.

Do not keep touching the product body for extended periods of time.

Chapter 3 Set-up
3.1 Preparation
(1) Put antislip rubber sheet under the product body
① ①. Raise bottom face of the lower table upward. Clean its surface by dry cloth.
Caution Please watch out for injury when the table is turned over. Confirm jigs for storage,
transportation are infixed.
Caution ・Please handle antislip rubber sheet carefully. It will be hard to remove from the sealing surface if a
prolonged period of use.
・It may also possible remaining stickum on the sealing surface.

・Please dismount jigs and bolts before operation. if not, it may cause machine trouble due to the overload

3.2 Set up
3.2.1 Wiring
The wiring diagram is described below.

・The slot and the connecter of X axis and Y axis
are same shape so ensure correct wiring.
・Especially, the pin shape of motor cable and

3.2.2 Step 1:Connect the table to the control box.

Caution
・Please ensure holding connecter for inserting or removing cable to prevent from bad connection or disconnection.
・Do not plug AC power cord for the system into an electrical outlet without confirmation of all other connections.

Caution
・ Ensure the connection status of X axis and Y axis.
(Please ensure the labels attached to the connecter and cable)
・ Ensure the label attached to the cable or connecter matches
others.
・ Slide the male cable into the female cable until it clicks.
Wrong connection is not allowed.

3.2.3 Step 2:Connect PC to the control box.
(1) Connect USB cable to the connector attached to the front surface of the control box.

Installing application software

3.3.1 Deactivate [Read only] attributes of data samples of seismic wave form.
[How to]
Open the application soft ware file and select property of earthquake wave sample.
Untick
ON [Confirm Attribute Changes]screen, select [Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files] and click、
[OK].
To confirm, check if [Read-only] is unticked on[Earthquake wave sample properties] screen.

3.3.2 Installing Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
【Compatible OS】
This software is compatible for Windows XP/2000 only.
(1) Install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0.
If this software or its enhanced version had already been installed in your PC, it is not necessary to re-install.
To confirm it, open [Control panel] and click [The addition and deletion of the application software wizard].
Double-click [dotnetfx.ex].

3.4 Installing the driver
Press the power switch on the control box(power indicator is lit solid green.)
(Refer to the following for the detailed procedure.)

(2) Click [Continue] when the screen showed [User account management].
(3) Click [Continue] when the screen showed [Search new hardware HUBS BRG1040].

screen.

(5) Installation is completed when the screen displayed [The software for this device had been properly
installed.]

(2) After [New hardware detection wizard], Select [Install the software automatically (recommended)] and click
[Next] .

3.4.3 For Windows 2000 user
(1) Switch on the power of the control box then [New hardware detection wizard] is appeared on the screen.

(2) Select [Detect best software for the device (recommended)] and click [Next].

(3) When [Specify the driver file] is displayed, select [Specify location] on [Search option] screen then click
[Next].

(4) On [New hardware detection wizard] screen, specify the actual copy of the original source file Select actual
copy and click [OK].
(Select the file which the software for Biaxial shaking table installed.)

(5) When[Searching drive file]is done, click[Next].

(6) Installation is completed when screen displays[The software for this device had been installed normally].

Precautions when the driver is installed ・ Please note that the operation is effective only if the port used at
installation and operation matched.(Refer to P.17~P.19)

Chapter 4 Operating “Mi-Home BURURU”
4.1 Operating method
4.1.1 Start up the driver
Please confirm that application software had been installed in your PC.
(more detail About installation , please refer to P.14)
(1) Switch on the power of control box.
Caution
Error display [Device open failure] will be showed due to
running [NoteShaker] without the power supply from
control box or bad electrical contacts.
To restore it, please go through following steps.
① Turn off the power of the control box.
② Reconfirm the status of cable connections.
③ Switch on the power of the control box.
④ Run [NoteShaker]

4.2 Various setting
4.2.1 Seismic wave drive
(1) Create seismic wave
・Create seismic wave in advance.
About the detail, please refer to(Instruction manual for waveform conversion)
・This application software enable to create seismic waveform with
Amplitude: 1cm Frequency: 100Hz
(2) Click [Origin return] and confirm the table to be at home position.

④ Select waveform, then input waveform appears on the screen.
To select waveform for Y-file, follow steps ② to ④.

Caution
Do not program the displacement more than ±50mm or it may cause fatal damage to the table.
<Description>
①Displacement scale
・ [Actual displacement] ratio against [Created waveform]
・ Maximum vibration amplitude 10mm
・ Displacement scale 3 and maximum table stroke 30mm are equivalent.
②Time scale
・ Frequency to reproduce seismic wave data.
・ Waveform conversion application software creates waveform of sampling frequency 100Hz.
- Time scale 200 and time axis 1/2 are equivalent(quicker motion)
- Time scale 50 and time axis 2.0 are equivalent(slower motion)
③Time skip
・ Operation example
If input 「3」, Operation starts after 3 seconds (Skip first 3 seconds)

・Please ensure the motion range of the table to keep out an obstacle.

4.2.2 Sine wave drive
(1) Click [Table position] to confirm the table at home position.
Caution ・ Please ensure home position setting at every operation or there is possible abnormal
behavior.

4.2.3 Sweep wave drive
(1) Click [Origin return] and confirm the table to be at home position.
Caution ・Please ensure above step before operation every time or possible irregular behavior

・Data setting is only available within motion range. (Refer to 4.2.2)
・Only one axis is workable for sweep wave drive.
(4) [Start] and [Stop] for Sweep wave drive
① Click[Start]to start operation
②Arrange the speed by [FREQ HIGH] and [FREQ LOW]
・ To increase, click[FREQ HIGH]
・ To reduce, click[FREQ LOW]
・ Variable pitch 0.1Hz
③ Click [Stop]to stop operation.

4.2.4 Mouse operation
(1) Click [Mouse operation].
・Operation screen will be shown after Click[Mouse operation].

Response speed of the table against the mouse operation.
(The responsiveness range is 1~5)

・Please operate mouse as slow as possible
・If keening or an abnormal sound comes out from the table,
try to slow the mouse speed or lower the response.
・Please ensure nobody touching or closing to the table during
operation.
② ・Please ensure the motion range of the table to keep out an
obstacle.

Chapter 5 Inspection, maintenance
5.1 Precaution statement for prevention of malfunction or damage.
・Prevent any foreign material from getting inside the table or cause harmful effect on product life or
performance.
5.2 Daily check
・Visually ensure the absence of damage or dirt on the product before operation.
・Please ensure the following steps before operation.
※ The notes in blue are troubleshooting.
⑤ Ensure all stoppers attaching to each side of the LM rail, to prevent over stroke.
⇒If the stoppers are not attached, please stop operation to avoid any damage of the system.
(See Picture 3)
⑥ Ensure there is no backlash at each direction.
⇒If you find it, stop operating and consult us.

5.3 Regular check, maintenance
(1) Table body
・Ensure lubrication and cleaning every 6months.
・Apply grease on the rail surface lightly.

Chapter 6 Troubleshooting

Note
・The biaxial table may cause mechanical sound in certain programs during the operation.
・The motor and the control box might be heated by certain condition or environment.
Warning
・If the noise or vibration comes out from the motor during the operation, stop operating and verify above
trouble shootings.
・If the status of failure is not changed even after trial of foregoing procedure, please send us trouble and
failure report attached at the last page after filling in necessary items.

Chapter 8 Product warranty
Please refer to product warranty information as follows.
8.3 Coverage
(1) Coverage
This warranty does not apply to products that fail due to accident, abuse, mishandling, improper installation,
and acts of nature, improper usage, or problems with electrical power.

〈Limitations〉This warranty does not apply to products such as,
1) Serial number altered, defaced or removed.
2) Mishandling, system failure by other products
3) Damage or failure by accident, liquid, humid, disaster, salt damage, abnormal voltage
4) Modification, improper installation, improper usage,
5) Damage or failure resulting form a third party
※ THK is also not responsible for repairing, replacement in warranty in the following
1) Improper repairing/ improper/ modification(inclusive of software)
2) If the system is fatally damaged and difficult to maintain normal function even after repairing.
The decision by THK regarding eligibility of the product for repair or replacement will be final and
binding.
8.5 Other
This system is manufactured under strict quality control but it doesn’t ensure the guarantee of the product.
To prevent a possibility of any damage or loss to your equipments caused by our product, we highly
recommend you to attach a safety device or back up unit to them.
