Chapter I

The Problem And It’s Background

People usually problem in their skin is having a pimpe. And we all know that

we cannot really avoid having a pimple. A pimple is a small pustule or

papule. Pimples develop when sebaceous glands, or oil glands, become clogged

and infected, leading to swollen, red lesions filled with pus. Also known as spots or

zits, pimples are a part of acne. They are most likely to occur around puberty, but

they can happen at any age. Mild acne can affect one's emotional health. In studies,

teen girls often say that acne makes them feel unattractive. Given that acne can

lead to such experiences and feelings, it's not surprising that researchers have found

that people with acne often develop depression or anxiety.

Green tea is a type of tea that is made from Camellia sinensis leaves and

buds that have not undergone the same withering and oxidation process used to

make oolong teas and black teas. Green tea originated in China, but its production

and manufacture has spread to many other countries in Asia. In our country Green

Tea is commonly used as a healthy drink because we all know that Green Tea has

a many benefit for our health

In our study Green Tea can be a replacement as a pimple remover . Green

Tea Can Reduce Inflammation While antioxidants are healthy, antioxidants

themselves don't do anything to improve acne breakouts. But green tea is also rich

in a certain type of polyphenols called catechins. The catechins in green tea are

very effective at reducing skin inflammation.

Scope And Limitation

The Acceptability of a Green Tea (Camilla Sinensis)as a pimple remover is

limited or it only scope for the environment or focuses in the community also it focus

to those people who want to cleanse their acnes. The study or project the

researchers are doing is for everyone who are having a acnes that want to remove it

and to everyone who feel unattractive because of their pimples.

Statement Of Problem

The primary goal of this study is to test the Acceptaility of a Green Tea (Camilla

Sinensis) as a pimple remover if it is acceptable in the community.

It specifically aim to answer the ff. question:

1. What is the viscosity level of a Green Tea (Camilla Sinensis) as a pimple

remover?

2. Is there any difference between commercial pimple remover and Green Tea as a

pimple remover?

3. Is the material and method of manufacture is possible to do and afford by the

community?
Significance Of Study

This study is made to prove the effectiveness of Green Tea (Camilla Sinensis)

as a alternative pimple remover. The community will find this product acceptable to

them because the materials are available anywhere.

This study would be beneficial for all ages even though young, adult and young-

at-heart. Also this study is important because we personally adopt it to ourselves

because we also experience having a pimple and thinking of how can we remove it.

And we want to help other peope who experience the same of what we experience .

So we know that this Green Tea as a alternative pimple remover can totally help

them.
Advantage Of Study

The product out of banana peel is helpful in our lives. We often throw the peel

anywhere and we suffer because our waste increases. So we come up of something

to lessen the waste we have also have glue that is affordable and easy to make.

This product is affordable and easy to make and suit for everyone and also the

procedure is to follow. Just don’t throw the banana peel anywhere because we can

make glue out of it. This study will be helpful to us because it can help our

environment diminished waste that increases and it is also helpful for the students

for them to no longer by expensive glue instead they can use banana peel to be

glue.
Defenition Of Terms

Green Tea

- Tea made from unfermented leaves that is pale in color and slightly bitter in

flavor.

Effectiveness

- the expected result

Alternative

- other possibility

Glue

- a tool that binds something

Viscosity

- the adhesiveness of something

Stickiness

- something glutinous
Related Literature

Website creator Owen Bond said “Banana peels are also rich sources of

potassium and contain much more soluble and insoluble fiber than their flesh.

Dietary fiber promotes digestion and bowel movements and can reduce blood

cholesterol levels. Banana peels also contain tryptophan, which increases serotonin

levels in the body and affects mood, much like the drug Prozac does.

Banana peels can be eaten raw, although they are purported to be ropey and

have an unpleasant taste. Waiting for the fruit to ripen makes the skin much thinner,

a little sweeter and easier to chew, according to “Contemporary Nutrition.” In addition

to eating banana peels, they can be used to rub on your skin to stop itching, reduce

inflammation, remove warts, smooth out wrinkles, get rid of acne, control psoriasis,

and improve skin tone and texture. These are anecdotal claims, of course, but it's

worth a try and certainly economical.” As it said banana peels can be used by

anything but there are two Toronto high school students that won the first GE Green

Innovation Award for inventing

an organic glue from banana peels so we researcher have discover that we are not

the only one who think about this study but we have found that we are just going to

expand the study they have. Also we want to apply it and share it to others like they

do to us researchers.

What is the history of glue?

Based on the website softschools.com “Glue sticks, super glue, liquid glue and glue

spray are common materials found in each classroom. Strikingly, the creation of glue

dates to around 200,000 BC, when it was mixed with paint to make cave drawings
last longer. Derived from plant and animal materials, glue has been a staple of

humankind for millennia.

Being only one member of a large class of adhesives, glue works by binding two

materials together. It does this through producing a small surface chemical reaction

and bond between the materials. Glue was first used to connect materials together

for the repair of broken ceramics and statues in 4000 BCE. At this time, glue was

made from the bones, hides, and skin of animals.

The ancient Egyptians first discovered an important historical use of glue in the

furniture creation process. Throughout multiple centuries, furniture creation and

repair has required significant glue resources. While the Egyptians were the first to

develop this practice, the use of glue in furniture making continued through the

19th century!”
Chapter II

Method of the Study

This discusses the material used in this study and the procedure it takes to make

the glue from banana peel.

Research Design

In this design we researchers exposed in an event to observe the possible effect

of the glue to the community. Also this design is selected since we researcher has

resulted in innovation of the glue. Our study continues into testing the benefits and

characteristics of the banana peel compared to the commercial glue.

Materials

- banana peel – the main ingredient in making the glue.

- cornstarch and flour – is use to add stickiness in the glue.

- saucepan and bowl – is use for mixing the other raw materials.

- mixing and measuring spoon – is use for mixing and measuring the amount of

ingredient.
