VOHC has an Occupational Health Centre (OHC) . Adopting the best


practices, our OHC is certified with Management Systems of OHSAS
18001, ISO 9001 & 14001.At VOHC, we believe in a holistic health-care
for all. Here are some of the facilities:

 Ambulance Services are available 24x7. In addition, we also respond


to each fire call along with a fire tender.
 Emergency Treatment is available 24x7. We have facility of 3 beds, a
decontamination room, required emergency equipment, medicines /
antidotes and a qualified team.
 Regular Health Monitoring:
o All employees undergo periodic medical examinations (PME) at OHC
annually, with additional six monthly PME for those posted in plant area.
o All service providers are medically examined in-house to ensure
reliability, linked to gate pass system for full compliance. Those required
to work in special jobs like confined space entry or at heights are
reassessed at OHC.
 Onsite First Aid Services: First aid boxes at about 80 locations, with
first aid trained manpower.
 Monitoring at Workplace: Monitoring of occupational health hazards at
workplace is carried out with in-house team to ensure regularity & follow-
ups.
 Community Lifestyle (CLIP): with a vision to achieve and maintain a
culture of healthy lifestyle in VOHC, CLIP is a holistic wellness initiative
comprising of
o Onsite health camps for workers
o Yoga, meditation & happiness programs
o Specific health camps for employees / family members
In addition, VOHC has a hospital with 30 beds & 24*7 services in the
Residential Township which is only 2.5 km away from Bina refinery.
Hospital is equipped with state-of-art equipment and facilities in the
operation theatre, ICU, Burn unit, radiology, pathology, ambulance and
is supported by 24*7 in-house specialist doctors.

We also have another satellite OHC at Crude Oil Terminal (COT),

Occupational Health Services is a Campus-based medical clinic that offers treatment for work-
related injuries and illness, work-related preventive medicine and injury & illness prevention
services, and departmentally-mandated medical surveillance programs. Medical care is
provided by physicians board certified in Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

We provide Occupational Health Services to all Occupations which include Hospital services
from OPD to IPD treatment, Onsite Check-ups, Daily / Weekly Doctor Visits, Annual Medical
check-ups, Vaccinations & Medicine supply to Industry, Presentation & Training on Various
health issues like First AID, Fire Fighting, Stress Managment and Yoga

To describe the range of activities carried out by Occupational Health Services. There are a
number of functions listed in the Convention, and these are summarised as below:-

 Identification and assessment of the risks from health hazards in the workplace. This
involves surveillance of the factors in the working environment and working practices
which may affect workers' health. It also requires a systematic approach to the analysis
of occupational "accidents", and occupational diseases.
 Advising on planning and organisation of work and working practices, including the
design of work-places, and on the evaluation, choice and maintenance of equipment and
on substances used at work. In so doing, the adaptation of work to the worker is
promoted.
 Providing advice, information, training and education, on occupational health, safety
and hygiene and on ergonomics and protective equipment.
 Surveillance of workers' health in relation to work.
 Contributing to occupational rehabilitation and maintaining in employment people of
working age, or assisting in the return to employment of those who are unemployed for
reasons of ill health or disability.
 Organising first aid and emergency treatment.

We are also providing Daily, Weekly Doctor Visits & Onsite Health Check-ups for Industries as
per their requirements. They do consultation and treatment of Employees. The Doctor will
perform the following functions:

 Seeing sick / ill patients on duty


 He will monitor pulse, BP & DM on OPD basis.
