“Space” research is rising like a “race”, people got “craze” to study about “space” in these “days”

How many times we have thought to fly like birds 🐦 and avoid walking. Of course, air planes✈ have
made 50% of our dreams to fly.

Space science is an interesting field to discuss,to

do research & to achieve some of our crazy
dreams. Here I am going to share some WOW
facts on space and little info regarding Milky Way.

We know about earth , what is made up of, sky
etc but beyond earth, there are plenty million
things to learn. Dark holes, Milky Way, Galaxies,
everything comes under “Universe”

In Universe roughly 70% is made of Dark Energy;

25% is about Dark Matters & 5% only the
everything that we know ( galaxies, nebulas, & stars)

At first the band of light was resolved into individual stars 🌟 by Galileo Galilei with his telescope in
1610.

Edvin Hubble discovered that the universe is expanding (14 million years ago) & was all collected in
just one point of space.
“Galaxy” Is derived from it’s Latin name: “via lactea”., translated, that means ” The road of milk”. In
Greek, “galaxios kyklos” Or “milky circle”.

A milky way galaxy can have 100-400 million stars . In 1990-,a space Telescope Hubble Ultra
Deep Field, observed a tiny patch of sky( one- tenth of diameter of the moon) for 1 million
seconds(11.6 days) and found approx 10,000 galaxies of all sizes, shapes & colors.

The Milky Way galaxy is in the local group, a neighborhood of about 30 galaxies.

Nearest: Andromeda

Distance: 2.5 million light years

light can take 1,00,000 light years to cross our galaxy.

Shapes & amount

Two- third of Galaxies within the universe are similar to Milky Way Galaxy. (Spiral shape). Other
shapes: 1.Tooth picks 2.Rings

Carl Sagan, American astronomer, has put forth a statement, that the total number of stars that a
milky way can contain will be more than, each & every single particles of sand in the seashores of
all seas.

Does the moon follow us when we drive??? 🤔🤔

When we speed along the road, we notice that everything moves past us-trees, houses, roads and
often all in opposite directions. But the moon does not. It will follow us. The moon is about

239,000miles away from earth. So due to the great distance, we are from the moon, as we move
along, the angle at which we see the moon hardly changes. So we get the feeling that the moon
is following us. This is an optical illusion.

How old is the earth?? 🤔🤔

According to one hypothesis, a great mass of white hot gas, which was in space, got smaller &
condensed to form planets & the sun. According to another theory, millions of years ago a great
star came along and pulled on the sun so that parts of it broke away. These became planets. But
astronomers suggest that probably this happened about 5,500,000,000years ago by scientific tests
regarding Oldest mountains, time needed by oceans to collect the salt present in them now etc.

Many scientists have sacrificed their whole lives to discover lots & lots of things related to space.
All this lead to the development of space world that really going to take all of us to other planets
successfully. Hats-off to space travellers, sallutes to those who gave up their life & made India to
earn a great name in space science.
