Course and Contact In this course, you will
Information • 6th grade –use computation skills with whole numbers, decimals,
and fractions. You will be expected to demonstrate competency in
Math these computations without the aid of a calculator. Students
Pearson Realize Grade 6 will develop understanding of ratio, proportion, and percent, and
Pearson Realize Grade 7 apply these skills in real-life scenarios.
Pearson Realize Grade 8 • 7th grade -work towards proficiency in essential mathematic skills,
be exposed to a wide variety of math topics, and be introduced to
pre-algebra and geometric concepts. Problem solving strategies
and critical thinking skills will also be stressed in a cooperative
learning environment.
• 8th Grade – be introduced to the more abstract language of
Contact: Algebra. Besides learning equation solving and simplification of
Jana Mazak algebraic expressions, students will also work with geometric

Expectations Turning in Assignments


• Assignments are due on the assigned due
date.
• Points can be deducted for late work.
• Late work will not be accepted after 5 days
or after end of topic assessments (which ever
comes first).
• Refer to student handbook about turning in
work for excused and unexcused absences.
