CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION

This chapters presents the background of the study, the statement of the problem, the significance of

the study, the definition of terms, and the scope and delimitation of the study.

Background of the study

Nowadays one of the problem of the student is managing their allowance. In managing your

allowance there are things you must consider such as budget for foods, transportation, schools

works and other miscellaneous.

When budgeting your allowance you need to think wise just to fulfill your needs everday, many

students does not use budgeting format, they are just use their allowance without budgeting.

Financial management skill define a vital activity in any organization. It defines the process of planning,

organizing, controlling, and monitoring financial resources with a view to achieve organizational goals

and objective.

Statement of the problem

This study aims to determine the financial management skills of ABM 3 students in Mayamot National

High School. Specifically, it seeks to answer the following questions:

1. Does behavior effect the financial management skills?

2. How does financial management skills effect your everyday life?

3. How will ABM3 students budget their allowance?

Significance of the study

This result of the study can be a guide to know the management skills of ABM students, specifically,

The study could benefit the following; Students: this study will help the incoming ABM students to have

to have knowledge about financial management skills, Parents: the result of this study be a great for the

parents this study will influence to plan for there incoming children who takes ABM strands. Teachers:

teachers will also benefit of this study, several teachers are claiming about the ___kulang dito

______________________________________________ School: for the school, this research could be a

great help for them in order to_____kulang din dito______-- Future researches: the future researches

students would benefit interms of management skills of students.

Scope and delimitation of the study

The study is limited on the way how the students of ABM 3 manage their allowance, the way financial

management influence the preference of the student’s in budgeting their money.

The researchers made used of structured interview, since the researchers will make a survey for

some of the students will be selected .
