Questions & guiding note

Do workers receive a project specific EHS induction that includes a test


prior to starting work at site? Is the Life critical rules and rules concerning
alcohol and drugs are confirmed at induction? Do visitors receive specific
EHS information before being allowed to access to work area and provided
with clearly identified PPE's ?

Are EHS records managed/controlled by Contractor in charge of EHS, to


manage equipment documentation? Are associated documentation (e.g.
third part periodical inspection) easily available? Are there calibration
certificates for EHS equipment available (Gas detectors, sound level meter
etc.)?

Has a site specific emergency plan and evacuation plan been developed
identifying foreseeable emergencies? Is the plan kept up to date when
site conditions change? Are off-site emergency services identified,
contacted and assessed? Is there evidence that monthly emergency drills
have been carried out at the site to test the emergency/evacuation plan
on monthly basis?

Are there sufficient numbers of trained first aiders /emergency response


team members on site as identified by risk assessment.

Does the site have a clearly identified traffic management plan, posted
and maintained up to date?( map, maximum speed limits, parking
requirements, pedestrian accesses, areas forbidden for vehicles etc.) Are
walkways, routes and emergency access/egress unobstructed and
segregated from vehicle traffic? Are safety traffic signs and pedestrian
crossways in place and clearly visible ?

Do delivery truck drivers receive information about site EHS rules and PPE
requirements? Are all the drivers and all passengers in any motor vehicles
shall wear seat belts.

Are all the vehicles fitted reverse alarms and maintained in good working
condition?

Are the security measures implemented at the site adequate for


foreseeable security threats? The site is fenced to prevent unauthorized
persons from accessing the site. Security cover is in place for night time,
weekends and holidays?

Are work areas free of slipping, tripping hazards?


Are solar panels and other material stored as per manufacturer
guidelines ?

Are there adequate numbers of toilet facilities and washing facilities,
available at the site, and are they maintained in a sanitary condition,
equipped with required consumables (hand cleaner, towels/driers)?

Are garbage bin and signages provided all over the camp area? Are the
garbages disposed off on regular basis? Are the utility area cleaned in
regular basis?

Is the legal register updated ?. Are MSDS available in the storage areas,
office and medical facilities. Are chemical containers labelled to identify
contents and provide hazard warning?
