VICTORY OVER THE LGBT LIFESTYLE

Neuroplasticity &
Epigenetics
“Our life is what our
thoughts make it.”

“And be not conformed to this
world: but be ye transformed
by the renewing of your mind,
that ye may prove what is that
good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God.”
-Romans 12:2 (KJV)
Neuroplasticity & Epigenetics
"As time goes by, science provides more and more evidence that
your brain is malleable and continually changing in response to
your lifestyle, physiology, and environment. This concept is called
neuroplasticity, or brain plasticity—meaning, you are literally
reforming your brain with each passing day. It used to be thought that
your brain was static, except during some critical developmental
periods, but today, we know this isn’t true." -By Dr. Mercola

Neuroplasticity & Epigenetics
"Your brain possesses the remarkable ability to reorganize
pathways, create new connections and, in some cases, even
create new neurons throughout your entire lifetime. Our views of
the nature of the brain have changed in a similar way as our views
of DNA. It used to be thought that DNA did not change—in other
words, you’re stuck with what you’re born with." -By Dr. Mercola
https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2015/01/15/neuroplasticity-brain-health.aspx
Neuroplasticity & Epigenetics
"This, too, has been disproven by researchers like Bruce Lipton,
who have introduced an entirely new branch of biological science
called epigenetics. Your DNA changes continuously based on your
experiences, emotions, and environment." -By Dr. Mercola

Neuroplasticity & Epigenetics
"The point is, you have much more control over your body, mind,
and brain than you might think. If you can mold and shape your
brain, you are not entirely at the mercy of your genetics or the
neural pathways you brought into this world or formed
as a child—and this is great news!" -By Dr. Mercola

VICTORY OVER THE LGBT LIFESTYLE
COMPLETE VICTORY OVER
EVERY SIN IS ASSURED TO US
“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of
God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers,
nor [a]effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor
drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such
were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but
you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the
Spirit of our God.” - I Corinthians 6:9-11 (NASB)
5 years ago I would have been
somewhere celebrating PRIDE but
instead I’m celebrating another year
of freedom, healing and deliverance!
🌈
I was living a life that I thought at
that time, was just “normal”. I
remember the very first time I
walked into a gay bar, it felt right,
and it felt like the missing piece to
this “happiness” that the devil
painted.

I started getting more involved. I

volunteered my time to try to help
people accept this lifestyle that so
many are dealing with. From
marching in gay pride parades, and
being a part of committees /groups,
to being a huge advocate for the
LGBT community. I thought this is
what I was meant to do.

BUT God had other plans for my life.

Don’t think God doesn’t deliver from
homosexuality, because I am walking
proof that God DOES deliver! No
matter what you have done, what sin
you have committed, God still LOVES
you! The devil will make you believe
that you have gone too far, but God’s
mercy never runs out and Gods mercy
endureth forever. Psalms 118:4

What the devil meant for evil God

turned around and made good out of it.
Genesis 50:20

I am very thankful that God died on the

cross for ALL sins. He thought about
you and me when he was hanging on
that cross. He didn’t single any sin out,
He didn’t say one sin is greater than
the other, but he died for ALL sin!
(My Testimony)

I went from being very suicidal to no desire to kill myself

I went from living a homosexual lifestyle for 10 years to no desire for women

I went from being a very deceptive individual to no desire to lie

I went from a lifestyle of sexual promiscuity to having no desire for sex
outside of marriage

I went from being engulfed in the occult and darkness and fascinated with
demons for 8 years to having no desire for satan
he ever liveth to make
intercession for them.”

Hebrews 7:25
(My Testimony)

I went from having a manipulative spirit to no desire to control others

I went from a heart of unforgiveness to a heart of forgiveness

I went from a life of severe depression to a life of hope

I went from having no peace to finding peace

There is hope for you!

Revelation 12:11
When I was 16 years old, I watched my
life come to a crossroads. Sitting on my
bed one night, here was the crossroad:
<-- reject myself and follow Christ OR
reject Christ and follow myself --> (this is
the simplest way to put it).

I did reject Christ and I chose to follow

myself and my desires. This began a very
destructive way of life. For the most part, I
began living openly as a lesbian (I came
out to my parents and family when I was
18) and when I was 19 I knew I wanted to
become a man, when I was 20, I first
discovered transgenderism.
Transgenderism seemed to be the answer
to my questions, my dreams, and the deep
longing within me to be whole and
complete.
I FAST FORWARD THREE YEARS:

God miraculously plucked me out of my

life where I was consumed by darkness
and hated Him. I'd been approved to
begin my hormonal therapy (testosterone
injections), spent most of my days drunk
and high and seeking out my next
girlfriend; God removed me from this and
placed me in the care of Christians. The
best way to describe myself upon arriving
to this place - skeptical, resistant, angry,
lost, blind. Eventually, after several weeks
of hearing the Gospel, hearing the word
of God, watching these Christians actively
live out their faith and faithfully serve
God... I sat down one day and prayed. I
became keenly aware of my sin and
rebellion against God and surrendered to
the Lordship of Christ.
I FAST FORWARD THREE YEARS:

I surrendered my identity, my sexuality,

and my gender - I surrendered my
whole life to His way, even though I
was terrified of the unknown. It was in
these moments of repenting and
placing my faith in Christ that my eyes
were opened, the darkness, like a veil,
was removed from my physical eyes.

I was filled with the greatest joy and I

felt a sense of urgency to share this
Good News with my family, friends and
it was at this point when I began
praying for Jake's salvation, not
knowing that one day we would be
married and have children 💜
I FAST FORWARD THREE YEARS:

This happened in June

2012 and on my 23rd
birthday, August 4, 2012,
I was baptized in the
Arkansas River after
sharing my testimony
with the 20 Christians I'd
been living with for the
last two and a half
months.
FAST FORWARD 5 MONTHS:

I was living at home and found myself

slipping back into my old ways and
thinking and feeling. BUT GOD.

One night, God showed me my sin and

the just punishment I deserved for my
sin. God showed me Jesus, perfect and
holy without sin, hanging on a cross
beaten and bruised. And I saw the
moment He breathed His last breath. 💔

This moment, I realized Christ did not

deserve this death and I did. He took my
place - God's just punishment, God's
judgement, God's wrath for MY SIN.

All of it was poured out on Jesus.

FAST FORWARD 5 MONTHS:

I fell to my knees and wept and begged

God to kill me. Why would He kill Jesus
for MY sin? And God said, "Because I
love you."

This same night God told me that

homosexuality is SIN, it is NOT LOVE.
And that I need to share His truth with all
people.

From a young age up till I was saved, I

heard the Gospel from a variety of
Christians, young and old; in a variety of
ways - social media, a Gospel tract at a
smoke shop (I still have it), and Christians
at a pride festival (who I hugged).
We have watched how good of a job
- homosexuals, secularists, God
haters - have done at discipling our
nation.

Christians must step it up.

We must take the Great Commission

seriously and stop trying to find
reasons NOT to act. We wonder how,
why, when did this all happen? The
reason is, most Christians are not
obeying God and His ways, which are
greater than our own.

Please trust me when I say that I am

not blasting anyone here.
I shared a bit of my testimony
with you because I want you too
know that no matter where you
proclaim the Gospel and no
matter who you proclaim the
gospel to, God is always
ALWAYS glorified.

We will not find God contradict

himself when he COMMANDS us
to GO --> into ALL the world -->
preaching the GOSPEL --> to
ALL creatures.

Saints, we have such few laborers.

Let us join together, encourage one
another, labor beside one another,
sowing, tilling the soil of men, women
and children's hearts. We must be
faithful and obedient to God, trusting
that His Spirit is working and
somewhere, somehow, fruit will spring
forth. We may never know till the
other side of this life, who was
saved.

Love you all and blessings.

Testimony of Ex-Lesbian Luanna Hansberger

Ex-Lesbian Luanna Hasberger stated the following regarding conquering homosexuality:

I prayed every night for years that God would undo the mistake He had
made: "God, please make me a boy.” Most of the people who knew me
when I was growing up would probably have a hard time believing what
my life was like during my twenties, when I became involved in the
seemingly hopeless morass of a lesbian relationship...

My friends encouraged me to contact Regeneration, a local ministry which

reaches out to those seeking a way out of homosexuality. Thus, in
January 1981, the healing process was accelerated.

When I first came to the ministry I was extremely shy and introverted. I
bounced back and forth between a masculine and a feminine identity...
Testimony of Ex-Lesbian Luanna Hansberger
Ex-Lesbian Luanna Hasberger stated the following regarding conquering homosexuality:

The friends I first shared with continue to be a great help and

support for me. That support has carried on literally from around
the world as they have moved about with the military. At the end of
March 1985, I got out of the Army to go to work for Regeneration.

During the time since entering full time Christian service, I can
really see the changes the Lord has made in me. Through Him I can
now not only accept, but rejoice in, my femininity. I am now joyfully
preparing for marriage. I praise the Lord for the work He has done
in my life. When I was born female, God didn't make a mistake![6]

• Homosexuality is death, and I choose life. - Ex-Homosexual and
ex-"gay rights" leader Michael Glatze

• I came out of homosexuality after a powerful encounter with Jesus

Christ and a desire to serve and obey Him. I can say with complete
honesty that I NEVER have homosexual desires of any sort - physical
or emotional. - Ex-lesbian Yvette Cantu Schneider[11]
Testimony of Charlene Cothran
In regards to female homosexuals leaving homosexuality, below is the tesimony
ex-lesbian Charlene Cothran:

Over the past 29 years of my life I have been an aggressive,

creative and strategic supporter of gay and lesbian issues. I’ve
organized and participated in countless marches and various
lobbying efforts in the fight for equal treatment of gay men and
lesbians. I have kept current on the issues and made financial
contributions to those organizations doing work about which I
was most passionate.
Testimony of Charlene Cothran
In regards to female homosexuals leaving homosexuality, below is the tesimony
ex-lesbian Charlene Cothran:

As the publisher of a 13 year old periodical which targets Black gays and
lesbians, I have had the opportunity to publicly address thousands,
influencing closeted people to ‘come out’ and stand up for them selves,
which is particularly difficult in the African-American community.

But now, I must come out of the closet again. I have recently
experienced the power of change that came over me once I
completely surrendered to the teachings of Jesus Christ. As a
believer of the word of God, I fully accept and have always known
that same-sex relationships are not what God intended for us.
Here’s an ex-lesbian’s story. She’s called Jackie.

“Born with an inherent disposition to sin mixed

with fatherlessness, molestation, and limited-to-
no examples of trustworthy men led me into a
lifestyle of homosexuality. It was a way of life I
willingly embraced. My style of dress and behaviour
was somewhat indicative of my personality.

A girly-girl could never be used to describe Jackie.

An aggressive tom-boy was more like it. Therefore,
the girls I attracted were typically everything that
allowed me to become what I thought I wanted to
secretly be: a man. I always saw men as being
something to envy.”
Here’s an ex-lesbian’s story. She’s called Jackie.

“They seemed strong, powerful, in control.

Femininity, or the skewed view of it that I held,
seemed weak. Part of my embracing
masculinity and rejecting femininity was my
own way of protecting myself from pain—pain
that I believed men were capable of subjecting
me to.

After all, that’s what my father did to me.

That’s what I saw men do to my mother. That’s
what I witnessed my guy friends do to the
women they claimed to love. All I knew of men
was that they used their manliness as a means
to inflict pain. And us women—us “weak
beings”—were target practice.”
Here’s an ex-lesbian’s story. She’s called Jackie.

ANOTHER MAN

“In comes Jesus. A man, yet fully God. One

who is completely faithful to his bride.
He died for her sins. He loves her not
just in words but in deed. He secured not
just her eternity, but protects her on
earth. He provides for her needs. He
leads her into all truth by his Spirit. He
daily lavishes her with himself, the one
thing that will make her truly happy.

I met this man in October 2008..”

Here’s an ex-lesbian’s story. She’s called Jackie.

FROM FEAR TO TRUST

“But first—my identity needed new soil to place

its roots. For too long, I had seen womanhood
through the lens of fear and manhood through
the lens of pain. And I rejected womanhood
because of pride mixed with ignorance over
what God intended for gender roles. I had been
raised observing dysfunctional relationships
between men and women. But I could no
longer let those determine how I would define
femininity and manliness. Rather, the
Scriptures had to become my guide.”
Here’s an ex-lesbian’s story. She’s called Jackie.

FROM FEAR TO TRUST

“And I realized, it was not that men were

strong and women were weak; it was that both
genders were sinful and needed a Savior. God
has given women a sort of softness that has
the ability to complement men in very fruitful
ways, mainly as their helpers. He has given
men a “hardness” or strong backbone and
called them to be the protectors and leaders.
Neither is better than the other; both are
actually servants of each other for the glory
of God. And that is a good thing.”
Here’s an ex-lesbian’s story. She’s called Jackie.

THE SON WHO BECAME A SERVANT

“But it took much humbling for me to see

this as a good thing. Even with a clear
understanding of biblical gender roles, my
pride had to die and my faith had to soar for
me to live those truths. My entire life had
consisted of being terrified of being perceived
as weak, to the point that I tried to live and act
like a man. The idea of being “the weaker
vessel” or being a “helper” didn’t seem
flattering—until I took my eyes off myself
and remembered Christ.”
Here’s an ex-lesbian’s story. She’s called Jackie.

THE SON WHO BECAME A SERVANT

“I had to remember that God the Son himself,

the Creator of the universe, the one whom
angels worship and demons fear, did not count
equality with God the Father as something to
be grasped, but emptied himself by taking the
form of a servant. God became a servant. With
this in mind, ultimately my embrace of
complementarianism became possible when
I was willing to see my womanhood as a
means to look and live like Jesus.”
Here’s an ex-lesbian’s story. She’s called Jackie.

A HUSBAND AND DAUGHTER

“I haven’t been on this journey for too long,

and it has definitely been a difficult one. But
God is faithful. He has sent me a husband who
is not a lover of wrestling but a basketball
fanatic who doesn’t fight with me over the
remote but humbly offers to watch Food
Network with me. He leads me in humility in
the small and large things of life. God has
given me a gift in my daughter Eden Grace,
who is slowly bringing out the gentle parts
of me that I tried for so long to hide.

I am a Christian, a wife, a mother, and a

woman who is being made strong in her
weaknesses, and I love it.”
Jackie’s childhood wounds from
fatherlessness, molestation and male
aggression had led her to feel weak and
helpless. She despised her own femininity.
The emotional damage being done to her
in childhood couldn’t express itself as
lesbianism immediately because she
hadn’t hit puberty yet. And so it lay
dormant. Sadness, depression, anxiety
and anger are the initial signs of inner
brokenness in a child. But nevertheless,
brokenness was the root.
As In his book My Genes Made Me Do It A Scientific Look
At Sexual Orientation, Dr Neil Whitehead writes,

‘Ex-gay support groups... report that between 50 percent

and 60 percent of homosexual men coming for help have
been abused sexually. This is confirmed by various
researchers... Exgay groups report high levels of male
sexual abuse (up to 85 percent) in female homosexuals
who come for help.’
Rather than affirming the manifestation of a dysfunction,
we do better to help people find healing by dealing with
the root. As Joseph and Jackie’s stories tell us, you can.

Jackie finishes her testimony by saying, ‘I am a Christian,

a wife, a mother, and a woman who is being made strong
in her weaknesses, and I love it.’ There are many other ex-
gay people out there who can back her up.
Author and ex-lesbian Alma Kramer takes the position that homosexuality is a
sin and sin is a choice when she wrote the following:

I made a choice in my life that put me in bondage for 20 years. While it is true
that there were certain things in my childhood that happened or didn't happen
that influenced my choice, I still made a choice.

I Corinthians 6:9-11 proves that sin is a choice and that you can change. The
New International version says, "Do you not know that the wicked will not
inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral
nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor
thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit
the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed,
you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and
by the Spirit of our God." WOW!! I am so glad we can change. I can remember
the time when I thought that there was no way out.
FOR WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS
CHRIST DIED FOR THE UNGODLY
“6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the
ungodly. 7 For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for
the good man someone would dare even to die. 8 But God demonstrates
His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for
us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be
saved from the wrath of God through Him.” -Romans 5:6-9
FOR WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS
CHRIST DIED FOR THE UNGODLY
“God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on
our behalf, so that we might become the
righteousness of God in Him.

-2 Corinthians 5:21
VICTORY ASSURED
THROUGH CHRIST'S
SINLESS LIFE

“The Saviour took upon Himself the infirmities of humanity and lived
a sinless life, that men might have NO FEAR that because of the
WEAKNESS OF HUMAN NATURE they could NOT OVERCOME.
Christ came to make US "PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE
NATURE," and His life declares that HUMANITY, COMBINED
WITH DIVINITY, DOES NOT COMMIT SIN. {MH 180.5)
VICTORY ASSURED
THROUGH CHRIST'S
SINLESS LIFE

“The Saviour OVERCAME to show MAN HOW HE MAY OVERCOME. All

the temptations of Satan, Christ met with the word of God. By trusting in God's
promises, He received power to obey God's commandments, and the tempter
could gain no advantage. To every temptation His answer was, “It is written.”
So God has given us His word wherewith to resist evil. EXCEEDING GREAT
AND PRECIOUS PROMISES are ours, that by these we "might be
PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption
that is in the world through lust." 2 Peter 1:4. {TE 107.2}
WE ARE NOT JUST CONQUERORS
WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS
“35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or
distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it
is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as
sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than
conquerors through him that loved us.” -Romans 8:35-39 (KJV)
WE ARE NOT JUST CONQUERORS
WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS
“38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor
principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor
height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us
from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
-Romans 8:35-39 (KJV)
WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS

“The life of Christ is divine power.

In the time of temptation the victory
is already won...The victory is
yours before the temptation even
comes...When Satan comes with
his temptation, he has no power,
for you have the life of Christ, and
that life in you wards Satan off
every time.”

(living By Faith - E.J Waggoner pp.119-122)

2 Cor 8:12

“Oh, the glory of the thought, that there is life in Christ, and that you may
have it! The just shall live by faith, because Christ lives in them. "I am
crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me;
and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of
God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me. …”
(living By Faith - E.J Waggoner pp.119-122)
2 Cor 8:12

“Christ...has met and overcome every obstacle that can possibly be

brought against your humanity in the struggle with temptation....And
therefore in Christ you have the victory; for when you are in Him, the
temptations assail Him, and not you by yourself. ”

(living By Faith - E.J Waggoner pp.119-122)

2 Cor 8:12

“….The glorious truth is revealed that the victory over every temptation
and difficulty is already yours, in Christ....Defeat cannot possibly be the
outcome, no matter how formidable the foe may make himself appear.
The battle is already fought, and Jesus Christ holds out to you the victory.
You have to simply take it, and say, "Thanks be to God, which giveth us
the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. ”
(living By Faith - E.J Waggoner pp.119-122)
Many are inquiring, "How am I to make the
surrender of myself to God?"

You desire to give yourself to Him, but you are

weak in moral power, in slavery to doubt, and
controlled by the habits of your life of sin.

Your promises and resolutions are like ropes of

sand.

You cannot control your thoughts, your impulses,

your affections.

The knowledge of your broken promises and

forfeited pledges weakens your confidence in
your own sincerity, and causes you to feel that
God cannot accept you;
..but you need not despair.
What you need to understand
is the true force of the will.

This is the governing power in the nature of man, the power of decision, or
of choice. Everything depends on the right action of the will. The power of
choice God has given to men; it is theirs to exercise. You cannot change
your heart, you cannot of yourself give to God its affections; but you can
CHOOSE to serve Him. You can give Him your will; He will then work in you
to will and to do according to His good pleasure. {SC 47}
2 Cor 8:12

Will you not without delay place yourself in right relation to God? Will
you not say, "I will give my will to Jesus, and I will do it now," and from
this moment be wholly on the Lord's side? Disregard custom and the
strong clamoring of appetite and passion. Give Satan no chance to
say: "You are a wretched hypocrite." Close the door so that Satan
will not thus accuse and dishearten you. …
2 Cor 8:12

Say, "I will believe, I do believe that God is my helper," and you will find that
you are triumphant in God. By steadfastly keeping the will on the Lord's
side, every emotion will be brought into captivity to the will of Jesus. You
will then find your feet on solid rock. It will take, at times, every particle of
will power which you possess; but it is God that is working for you, and you
will come forth from the molding process a vessel unto honor. {5T 514.1}
Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law - Psalm 119:70

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and
I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an
heart of flesh. – Eze 36:26

Keep the heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life - Prov 4:23
Many do not pray.
They feel under condemnation for sin, and they
think they must not come to God until they have
done something to merit his favor, or until God has
forgotten about their transgressions.

They say, "I cannot hold up holy hands before

God without wrath or doubting, and therefore I
cannot come." So they remain away from Christ,

and are committing sin all the time in so doing, for

without him you can do nothing but evil. Just as soon
as you commit sin, you should flee to the throne of
grace, and tell Jesus all about it!

(Bible Echo, February 1, 1892 par. 4)

You should be filled with sorrow for sin,

because through sin you have weakened your

own spirituality, grieved the heavenly angels, and
wounded and bruised the loving heart of your
Redeemer.

When you have asked Jesus in contrition of soul

for his forgiveness, BELIEVE that he has forgiven
you.
Do not doubt his divine mercy, or refuse the
comfort of his infinite love.

(Bible Echo, February 1, 1892 par. 4)

..but you need not despair.
What you need to understand
is the true force of the will.

“Many people earnestly long for Christ to come and dwell in their hearts, and
they imagine that the reason why he does not do so is because they are not
good enough, and they vainly set about trying to get so good that he can
condescend to come in. They forget that Christ comes into the heart, not
because it is free from sin, but in order to free it from sin; and they possibly
never realized that Christ is in the word, and that he who will make it a
constant companion, and will yield himself to its influence, will have Christ
dwelling within.” {SITI July 14, 1890, p. 410.9}
“He who has hidden the word in his heart, who meditates in it day and
night, and who believes it with the simple faith of childhood,-such a one
has Christ dwelling in his heart by faith, and will experience his mighty,
creative power.” {SITI July 14, 1890, p. 410.9}
“He who has hidden the word in his heart, who meditates in it day and
night, and who believes it with the simple faith of childhood,-such a one
has Christ dwelling in his heart by faith, and will experience his mighty,
creative power.” {SITI July 14, 1890, p. 410.9}
“Our dependence is not in what man can do; it is in what God can do for man through
Christ. When we surrender ourselves wholly to God, and fully believe, THE BLOOD of
Christ cleanses from ALL sin. The conscience can be freed from condemnation. Through
faith in His blood, all may be made perfect in Christ Jesus. Thank God that WE ARE NOT
DEALING WITH IMPOSSIBILITIES! We may claim sanctification! We may enjoy the
favor of God. We are not to be anxious about what Christ and God think of us, but about
what God thinks of CHRIST, our Substitute! YE ARE ACCEPTED in the Beloved!"
(2 Selected Messages pg. 32.3)
“He (Satan) will lead us to think that our mistakes and transgressions
have been so grievous that the Lord will not have respect unto our
prayers and will not bless and save us. In ourselves we can see
nothing but weakness, nothing to recommend us to God, and Satan
tells us that it is of no use; we cannot remedy our defects of
character. When we try to come to God, the enemy will whisper, It is
of no use for you to pray; did not you do that evil thing? Have you not
sinned against God and violated your own conscience? But we may
tell the enemy that "THE BLOOD of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us
from ALL sin!" 1Jn_1:7…Forgiveness, reconciliation with God, COMES
TO US, not as a reward for our works, it is not bestowed because of
the merit of sinful men, but it is A GIFT unto us, having in the spotless
righteousness of Christ its foundation for bestowal."

(Thoughts from the Mount of Blessing pg. 115.1)

“Whatever may have been your past experience, however
discouraging your present circumstances, if you will come to Jesus
just as you are, weak, helpless, and despairing, our compassionate
Saviour will meet you a great way off, and will throw about you
His arms of love and HIS ROBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS! He
presents us to the Father clothed in the white raiment of HIS OWN
CHARACTER! He pleads before God in our behalf, saying: I
have taken the sinner's place. Look not upon this wayward child,
but LOOK ON ME! Does Satan plead loudly against our souls,
accusing of sin, and claiming us as his prey, THE BLOOD OF
CHRIST PLEADS WITH GREATER POWER!"

(Thoughts from the Mount of Blessing pg. 8.2)

“The LIFE is the blood! This is the Bible interpretation; and we will let it
interpret itself. Then when we read that "the blood of Jesus Christ
cleanseth us from all sin," it does not mean that by some magic-charm
process or incantation, it enables him to count us as cleansed…It is not any
charm process, it is a living fact. God gave us HIS LIFE in His Son that we
might have life, and that we might have that life to live on the earth.”
(February 15, 1897, GCDB 29.1-2)
“I am told that it is a scientific fact that if some one will allow his blood to be taken and
transfused into the veins of a poor anemic person, the first thing the blood does is to purge
out the poison and sickness, and then to build him up with a new life. NEW BLOOD has
been transfused into that person, and NEW LIFE is imparted. Do you get the figure? We are
saved by TRANSFUSING BLOOD! God has opened His mighty heart, and poured out His life in
Christ, for our salvation! He has given His life that we might take it and be purified by it,
and live on earth by faith. And THE LIFE of His Son cleanseth us from all sin!”
(February 15, 1897, GCDB 29.3)
“It would have been an almost infinite humiliation for the Son of God to take man’s nature,
even when Adam stood in his innocence in Eden. But Jesus accepted humanity when the race
had been weakened by four thousand years of sin. Like every child of Adam He accepted the
results of the working of the great law of heredity. What these results were is shown in the
history of His earthly ancestors. He came with such a heredity to share our sorrows and
temptations, and to give us the example of a sinless life!”(A Call To Stand Apart pg. 6.7)
“The word of God is SELF-FULFILLING…Thus the word of God spoken by Jesus Christ
is able to cause that to exist which has no existence before the word is spoken; and which,
except for that word, never could have existence. In this same way precisely it is
in man's life. In man's life there is no righteousness. In man there is no righteousness,
from which righteousness can appear in his life. ”
(January 17, 1899 ATJ, ARSH 40.5-11)
“But God has set forth Christ to declare righteousness unto and upon man! Christ
has spoken the word only, and in the darkened void of man's life THERE IS
RIGHTEOUSNESS to every one who will receive it. Where, before the word is received,
there was neither righteousness nor anything which could possibly produce
righteousness, after the word is received, THERE IS PERFECT RIGHTEOUSNESS
and the very Fountain from which it springs… The Word itself produces it ! ”
(January 17, 1899 ATJ, ARSH 40.5-11)
INFINITE POWER IN THE
WORD OF GOD THE GOALS

There is infinite power in the Word of God. By it

we are made clean. John xv. 3. Here is infinite
comfort and encouragement for the believer. The way
of life is not hard, but easy. Jesus says, “My yoke is
easy.” It is the way of the transgressor that is hard.
The Lord in His infinite mercy has made it as easy
to do right as to do wrong, provided we trust Him
absolutely; yea, far easier, inasmuch as His power
is infinitely greater than all the power of sin. Well
may this be spoken of as a “great salvation.” We do
not need to know the how, but the fact is ever before
us in the fruit-bearing vine and trees. PTUK October
6, 1898, p. 630.7
"I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live.” ...It is evident that the
Christian religion is a religion of the present tense. In the Christian life,
nothing counts for anything except what is present… The new birth is a
continuous process, and thus something that is ever present… Many who
profess to be Christians...always look either to the past or the future...”
-Living By Faith, Alonzo T. Jones and Ellet J. Waggoner pp. 125-126
Christianity in the present tense takes you just where it finds you....Each
moment will become "now" as soon as you reach it… Therefore the only
thing to do is simply to look to Him now and believe now, without reference
to your past failures or future hopes. The only starting point in the Christian
life is "now;" the only point attainable is "now."...It is looking to Christ now.
It is when you forget to live in the present moment, by looking at that
moment to Jesus Christ for grace and strength, that you fail.”
-Living By Faith, Alonzo T. Jones and Ellet J. Waggoner pp. 125-126
Whenever you fall into sin,

it is because for that moment your faith has let go

of the Lord, and you are not believing in Him….

It is a blessed truth that through faith you are shut

in by the arms of the Lord, and the evil one
cannot touch you….

Through faith you can be kept from the iniquity

that surrounds you, that is even in your very flesh
ready to spring on you….

(Living By Faith, Alonzo T. Jones and

Ellet J. Waggoner pp. 7-8)
....It is He that is pledged to keep you in the midst
of the consuming fire of sin.

You cannot endure it alone; you always fall, and

the fiery darts strike into your soul.

The prayer of David may be yours continually.

"Create in me a clean heart, O God."

(Living By Faith, Alonzo T. Jones and

Ellet J. Waggoner pp. 7-8)
Helpless, utterly helpless in yourself, unable to care for
yourself a single moment, unable to resist the smallest
temptation, unable to do one good act.

But look again.

An unseen power has taken possession of you, a new life

has animated you, and lo, you have "subdued kingdoms,
wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the
mouth of lions,

quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the

sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant
in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens!”…

(Living By Faith, Alonzo T. Jones and

Ellet J. Waggoner pp. 17-18)
...Where once you would have trembled and
fallen, now you stand unmoved like a house built
on a solid rock….

But even if you are the most helpless person who

ever lived, God is willing to take you…

and work through you in the most marvelous

manner by His mighty word. He loves to do it.

He has "chosen the weak things of the world to

confound the things that are mighty; and the
base things of the world, and things which are
despised, hath God chosen."

(Living By Faith, Alonzo T. Jones and

Ellet J. Waggoner pp. 17-18)
Then when you...realize your frailty, and your
helplessness, don’t become discouraged,

but rather lift your eyes in thankfulness to heaven

and praise that mighty One who can take you—

the weakest and most helpless of His creatures—

and by His word strengthen you "with all might
according to His glorious power.”

(Living By Faith, Alonzo T. Jones and

Ellet J. Waggoner pp. 17-18)
That there is a power in the word of God, far above that of any other book, cannot
be doubted.... 1 John 3:9: “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his
seed remaineth in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” How simple!
There is in the word that divine energy which can transform the mind, and make a
new man, “which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
-SITI July 14, 1890, p. 402. Paragraphs 23, 27
“Of course the word can do this only for those who receive it in simple faith. But
the word does not lose any of its power. If the soul thus born again retains that
sacred, powerful word by which he was begotten, it will keep him still a new
creature. It is as powerful to preserve as it is to create.”
-SITI July 14, 1890, p. 402. Paragraphs 23, 27
“There is no chance for any one to object, "But
I am so sinful and unworthy." That makes NO
DIFFERENCE; a man will accept what he
deliberately purchases, especially if he has paid a
great price for it; and Christ "gave Himself for
our sins." There is nothing in the whole universe
that God desires so much as us and all the sins
we have! We have only to praise "the glory of
His grace, wherein He has made us accepted
in the Beloved." Eph. 1:6.”

(1899 EJW, Salvation In Jesus Christ pg. 6.3)

“God takes no pleasure in the death of any. But
sin when it is finished bringeth forth death, because
sin cannot exist in the presence of the glory of God,
and the time will surely come when the glory of the
Lord shall cover the earth as the waves cover the
sea. For a little moment God has allowed sin to
flaunt itself and develop its full measure of hideous
deformity, but he will soon blot it from existence;
and when sin is destroyed, those who have made
sin a part of themselves, and are so permeated
with it that it cannot be separated from them,
must necessarily go with it.

(SITI June 30, 1890, p. 375.29)

“But God calls on all men everywhere to repent. To
all men comes the proclamation, “Be ye reconciled
to God.” To all he says, “Choose ye this day whom
ye will serve.” No man can serve God and mammon
at the same time. He must choose one or the other.
But the freedom and power of choice are given to
man, so that he need not serve Satan unless he
wishes to. The service of God leads to life; but “the
wages of sin is death.” Romans 6:23.

(SITI June 30, 1890, p. 375.30)

Good News Indeed!
“Christ "gave Himself for our sins." Gal. 1:4. That
is to say, He bought them, and paid the price for
them. This is a simple statement of fact. When we
hear a man say that he gave so much for a certain
thing, we know that that thing belongs to him,
because he has bought it. So when the Holy Spirit
tells us that Christ gave Himself for our sins, we
should be equally sure that they belong to Him,
and not to us. They are ours no longer, and WE
HAVE NO RIGHT TO THEM!”
(1899 EJW, Salvation In Jesus Christ pg. 5.1)
YI June 29, 1893, par. 8
“Do not settle down in Satan's easy-chair,
and say that there is no use, you cannot cease to
sin, that there is no power in you to overcome.
There is no power in you apart from Christ, but it
is your privilege to have Christ abiding in your
heart by faith, and he can overcome sin in you,
when you cooperate with his efforts, putting your
will on the side of God's will. He says, “I have
overcome the world.” In him you lift up the
banner as one who conquers. “We are more
than conquerors through him that loved us.”
Good News Indeed!
“The fact is that Christ has bought us, together with
our sins, and has paid the price. Therefore there is no
room for the question, "Will He accept us?" HE HAS
ALREADY ACCEPTED YOU! Why does a man buy
an article at the store?-Because he wants it. If he has
paid the price for it, having examined it so as to know
what he was buying, does the merchant worry lest he
will not accept it?-Not at all; the merchant knows that
it is his business to get the goods to the purchaser as
soon as possible.”
(1899 EJW, Salvation In Jesus Christ pg. 6.2)

“You may have a constant testimony in your life to the
power of the grace of Christ, and may understand what
are the operations of the Spirit of God. You may be living
epistles, known and read of all men. You are not to be a
dead letter, but a living one, testifying to the world that
Jesus is able to save.”
