Join
Registration and membership with the ASDSA is open to all people who work in the skills development
and related fields. This includes skills development practitioners and administrators, talent and
organisational development practitioners, as well as training providers and assessors/moderators.
Membership discount applies to corporates with multiple members.

The ASDSA is a recognised Professional Body (SAQA Professional Body ID: 866) and offers three
professional designations: Skills Development Technician, Skills Development Practitioner,
and Skills Development Master.

Membership Benefits
Benefits of membership of the ASDSA revolve around effective professional support structures,
information sharing and networking, and lobbying on behalf of practitioners in the learning and
development arena. The ASDSA offers:

 Information sharing through Workshops, Quarterly newsletters, Position papers
 A unified voice in the skills development and learning and development arena
 Lobbying to government, SETA's and authorities on behalf of members and other practitioners in
the learning and development arena.

 Life-long learning - structured Continuing Professional Development programmes are being
developed along with appropriate categories of membership.

Please note the ASDSA is not VAT registered.

Rules
 The ASDSA will invoice the member annually.
 Membership fees are due for renewal annually, and are payable 12 months after the date of first
registration as an individual member.
 Each individual member is required to sign the ASDSA Code of Conduct.

Rules
 A minimum of two members is required before corporate rates apply.
 The ASDSA will invoice the company annually for the full number of members required by the
company.
 Membership fees are due for renewal annually, and provide for the next 12 months after the date
of first registration for a corporate discount.
 Should the company wish to increase the number of members before the renewal date then the
membership fee for the full year will apply for the additional member(s); i.e. pro rata payments
are not accepted by the ASDSA.
 Should the company wish to replace an existing member with a new member, then an additional
registration fee is payable by the Corporate for each such new member.
 Each individual member covered by the corporate discount is required to sign the ASDSA Code
of Conduct.
