Reconnect: Mentor will begin the class by asking them the 5 vowels they learnt.
Connect: Mentor will ask the children the different places they have visited ex zoo, park, beach etc
Guided inquiry:
Period1 & 2: Mentor will do a quick recap. Mentor will tell the learners to the listen to the story. carefully

Mentor . tells the learners.a story using letter cards. One day the letters /b/, /c/, /d/,/g/ and /t/ went for a walk. On the way they met letter /r/. “Come join
me , “said /b/ to /r/ so /r/ joined /b/ and they became a blend – br.
The other letters said, “Let us each ask /r/ to join our letters too and see what we become. So each letter took turns. Mentor asks the learners the blends
they become as she puts the letter cards on the board. Mentor shows the br card and asks the learners the sound it makes and tells them to give words

for the sound eg. br- brick, brush etc. Mentor now to give words with all the different blends she shows.Learners . gives words for different blends and
mentor writes them on the b.b.
Demonstrate Understanding: Mentor will divide the class in 5 groups. She will tell the class that we are going to make props for each blend. Eg.
we will make a brick and write all the br words on it . For cr- we will make a crown and write all cr words on it and so on. Tr. Gives them the materials
need.
