I have learned many things after our lessons in ICT.

I learned that ICT is very useful and helpful for us. It

guides us to finish our tasks immediately. Nowadays, lots of people are using technologies. Because it
can be useful in many ways. For students like me, it makes our works easier like when we are going to
have research, paper works, blogging, and many more. It enhances our learning experiences, and we can
get more informations much faster by just browsing, clicking and typing. It is also easier to communicate
with friends and classmates with the use of social media sites. This is an opportunity for us to be able to
talk or chat with them to accomplish some works needed in school. There are also applications that are
useful in some of our subjects such as powerpoint, microsoft word, excel and others. I also learned that
ICT also helps us to gain more knowledge. We can find lot of things that we want to learn for a short
period of time and it's way more easier especially when we have a task given by our teacher. Computers
and technologies are everywhere. We can see it anywhere we go. So we must use these for future
purposes and make our everyday life better.

Technologies are one of the most necessary thing nowadays.Today, in 21st century, it can give a big
impact not only to millenials but also in all the people who are living now in a world of modern
technologies.

ICT or Information and Communication Technology has an important role in the world.It can gives a
lots of advantages and it will make things more easier to do.It is also very important in our daily lives.It
brings a lot of advantage for economic development enabling millions of transactions to happen in an
easy and fast way.With ICT also, It makes students readiness for their future path in their chosen
profession.This makes bold and innovative that could benefit for individuals.Changes may happened but
because of it, we learned and mold ourselves.I do beleived also that ICT is one of the economic
development pillars to gain national competitive advantage.But not all times that ICT can only give
advantages in our lives but we can't deny the fact that it can also brings disadvantages to us.Probably the
largest effect that ICT use has on society is allowing members of society to have greatly access to
information.It can cause to numerous negative effects like reducing levels of education and
understanding due to the vast of incorrect and misleading information.On the other hand, although ICT
can do help us a lot let ourselves think also if all the times it is really the right thing to do.

As a matter of fact, we are now living in a constantly envolving digital world.ICT has an impact on
nearly every aspect of our lives-from working to socializing.The digital age will continue transforming but

umbrella term used to encompass all rapidly emerging, evolving and converging computer, software,
networking, telecommunications, Internet, programming and information systems technologies.
Historically, many of these fields developed separately, in different companies, departments and R&D
groups, and at different times. With rapid improvements in computer processing power, networking
technology advances, programming interface improvements, widespread adoption of Internet Protocols,
integration into organizational strategic operations, and improved workforce and user competencies,
however, these fields are rapidly converging.

Technology has contributed to the growth of industries or to the process of industrialization. It describes
in general term the growth of a society in which a major role is played by manufacturing industry.
Technology are preeminent now a days. Most people uses 2-4 gadgets and 4-6 accounts in social media.

How ICT affects to the students especially to the ABM students?

Pioneering the Senior High School in the Philippines takes a lot of challenges and changes. We were
adjusting for the new environment and also the subjects that are very new to us. As an ABM student we
were learning that is related to Accounting, Business and Management. Being a student of ABM we have
lots of performance task that uses PowerPoint Presentation as a tool for our report. In the past, students
usually use manila paper or cartolina’s for visual aid in presenting but now a days since we are in modern
generation we used PowerPoint for visual aids and by this it makes efficiency and effectively. ICT plays
bigger rule here because it discuss how things work in PowerPoint. How a presentation can be deliver as
an effective presentation.

This shows minimize, clarity, simplicity, visuals, consistency and contrast. This tips show how to create
effective presentation.

In accounting it is the nature of making Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Journalizing and many more.
Accountants used notebooks or journal notebook for encoding but now Excel helps accountants to make
their work easily. Excel is the most common tool for making Statements and also it is useful for pay slips.
It helps more organize the accounts and it helps solving easily. Below is an example of our activity using

Also practicing on making letters is very helpful in applying jobs or giving letters for invitation. We used
papers and put it on envelops and send it to mail senders. This may take how many days for the receiver
to received the letter but, by using Word and type the content of the letter it wont take time to give
those letter using the mail merge. It seems like a saying “Kill two birds in one stone”. This is applicable
especially in inviting or giving solicitation to the customers, suppliers and many more. Merging the letters
using Word helps a lot because it gives efficiency and effectively to the work.

ICT makes students readiness for our future path in our profession. This makes bold and innovative that
could benefit for the individuals. Changes may happened but because of it we learned and mold our
selves. It makes works easier and it wont be time consuming.

It is important to acknowledge that students are already interested and engaged in using technology, this
creates many amazing opportunities for schools and teachers to benefit from integrating some forms of
technology in the classroom and to make teaching and learning more effective. Here are some of the

technology can help develop many practical skills, including creating presentations, learning to
differentiate reliable from unreliable sources on the Internet, maintaining proper online etiquette, and
writing emails. These are very important skills that can be developed in the classroom.
Benefits for teachers

With countless online resources, technology can help improve teaching. Teachers can use different apps
or trusted online resources to enhance the traditional ways of teaching and to keep students more
engaged. Virtual lesson plans, grading software and online assessments can help teachers save a lot
time. This valuable time can be used for working with students who are struggling. What is more, having
virtual learning environments in schools enhances collaboration and knowledge sharing between
teachers.

Sites such as Google, Wikipedia, and Yahoo enable students to type in their query and get relevant

2) Students love using ICT

Students enjoy making use of computers or tablets to learn. Innovative programs that have been
developed by collaborating partners (ie. Pearson Education South East Asia and Microsoft Singapore) are
used by teachers and students.
Teachers can upload quizzes, notes, or even feedback forms on such platforms (eg. ASKnLearn). It is
convenient for students to do their work on the computer as most students use the internet when they
go home.

3) To stay relevant in the global world

Using ICT in schools gives the students a headstart to their future - by staying relevant. By learning how
to use the computer to do effective research, it puts the students a step up in the heavily competitive job
sector, particularly in Singapore.

Since more companies are acquiring more technology to improve their services and productions, it is the
students' job to learn how to use this up-to-date technology.

Needless to say, ICT is important in this fast paced world. As seen in Table 1, the prevalence of students
using the computer is very high, at 91%, and the percentage of students that use the Internet is 59%.

Save the trees!

4) Conserve the Environment

By using the computer, assignments are now posted online, and more often than not are also submitted
online. This protects the trees by reducing the use of paper. Using less paper = lesser trees are cut down!
In the United States, the amount of wood and paper thrown away in 2012 is enough to heat 50 million
homes for 20 years. This is only in the United States - what more the rest of the world?

5) All Students Benefit

Low income families or disabled students, all students do benefit from the use of ICT in schools.
In Singapore, schools aid the lower income families by providing laptops or desktops at a low price of
$146 for a desktop or $214 for a laptop.

Even should that value be a little costly for the student, loans can be taken from SINDA, CDAC or
MENDAKI or even through the school itself.

Disabled students benefit as ICT places all students on equal footing - with the right hardware, software
and curriculum, these students stand as much a chance of doing as well as students without disability.

in the information age era. With ICT, the company can make the business easier to happen with the
client, supplier and the distributor. It is also very important in our daily lives. The lack of appropriate
information at the right time will result in low productivity, low quality research works, and waste of time
to pursue information and even to do research which actually others had done or in other countries.
Nowadays ICT cannot be separated with our daily needs.

ICT has a great impact in our daily lives. For example, we can read our local newspaper using the online
newspaper. Another example is we still can get connected with our family, relatives, or colleagues even if
we are abroad by using the electronic mail, yahoo messenger, call conference, or video conference.

Digital computer and networking has changed our economy concept to the economy with no boundary
in time and space because of ICT. It brings a lot of advantages for economic development enabling
millions of transactions to happen in an easy and fast way.

ICT is one of the economic development pillars to gain national competitive advantage. It can improve
the quality of human life because it can be used as a learning and education media, the mass
communication media in promoting and campaigning practical and important issues, such as the health
and social area. It provides wider knowledge and can help in gaining and accessing information.

learning, or by adding a dimension to learning that was not previously available. ICT may also be a
significant motivational factor in students’ learning, and can support students’ engagement with
collaborative learning.

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is basically our society’s efforts to teach its current
and emerging citizens valuable knowledge and skills around computing and communications devices,
software that operates them, applications that run on them and systems that are built with them.

As a matter of fact, we are living in a constantly evolving digital world. ICT has an impact on nearly every
