Course Title: Personal Identification
Course Description: The course covers the ancient and modern methods of personal identification with emphasis on Dactyloscopy, which embraces the
identification and comparison of fingerprints patterns ridge Characteristics; the scientific method of recognition, development and preservation of latent prints;
and the recording and classifying of fingerprints that include the Henry System and the FBI Extension.
Credit Unit: 4 Units
Contact Hours: 4 hours per week/ 72 hours in 18 weeks

Unit 3: Classification and Filing of Fingerprint


Knowledge: Enumerate and discuss the different fingerprint classification formula and filing of fingerprint
Skills: Perform the classification of fingerprint.
Attitude: Recognized the value of proper classification of fingerprint pattern

Unit 4: Latent Prints


Knowledge: Enumerate the methods and procedures of developing latent print;
Skills: Perform the methods and procedures of developing latent print.
Attitude: Recognize the value of latent prints in crime scene processing.

COURSE POLICIES AND STANDARDS
1. Students are required to attend all class sessions as listed on the school calendar. Students will be dropped if he/she exceeds allowable number of absences.
2. Students are expected to attend class sessions on time.
3. Students must take all schedule and unscheduled examinations. No special examinations will be given except for Periodical Examinations.
4. Assignments, and projects, designs must be submitted on or before the deadline/due date.
5. Cheating will not be tolerated and will result to Failure grade.
6. Students are expected to consistently demonstrate professional behavior.
7. Students are required to pass the Final Examination in order for him/her to pass the Subject. Final Examination will cover from the beginning to end of the
topic.
