There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to bear
witness about the light, that all might believe through Him. He was not the light, but
came to bear witness about the light. The true light, which gives light to everyone, was
coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, yet
the world did not know Him.

There are so many changes in the beginning of the school year. How are you doing learning your
students’ names? Ask for help from the Lord. He will give you everything you need.

Isaiah 40:8 – The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of God will stand forever.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the reminder that the only thing that
doesn’t change is Your Word. Our positions change,
our students change, our curriculum changes, yet
we know we can go to the Word that never
changes. What beautiful imagery You give us to
remember that even though the grass withers and

the flower fades, Your Word endures forever. Help

us this year Lord to remember to go to Your Word
for our needs. We ask this in the Holy Name of
Jesus. Amen.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in
the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing
made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the
darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:1-5
