feel uncomfortable, or sad, or angry, or guilty. But God wants us to confess

5. Tithes and Offerings

• The word “tithe” literally means “tenth.” In Scripture, it refers to setting


aside 10% of one’s income for God’s work.

before the law was established; afterwards, it became mandatory for every
one of God’s people (Lev. 27:30-34, De. 12:5-6).
• God challenges His people in Malachi 3:10 to “Bring the whole tithe into
the storehouse…Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will
not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing
that there will not be room enough to store it.”
