Instructions
1. Establish a personal recount plan involving your experience as a school teacher.
For example, you write about how you prepared your students for a summative test or
final examination in order that they achieved a high score or you and your school
colleagues prepared for a special occasion related to your school programs. Describe
the stages you made so that they can be chronologically seen.

2. Establish a historical recount plan of the school you are teaching at the moment.
Describe the developments of the school from the beginning it was built to the present
time. To this end, you can interview people who you think they know the history of the
school or look at the school documents or artifacts for the data you need in the writing,
such as certificates of achievements, photographs, trophies, etc.

3. Establish a biographical recount plan about the principal who you think he/she is
important for the developments of the school you are teaching at the moment.
Describe the breakthroughs he/she took during his/her leadership for the school. To
this end, you can interview the person, study real examples of his/her works, interview
people who know him/her, or look at the documents or artifacts such as photographs or
objects which relate to his/her leadership for the school.

1. A personal recount plan involving my experience as a school teacher

My First Experience As An English Teacher At SMPN 32 Kab. Tebo

When the first time I teach English at school, I found many difficulties in teaching,
because my students never learnt English when they were in an elementary school. So, that
was the first time for them knew English. They also think that English was not important to
learnt. That was little bit difficult for me, but I always was trying to teach them English.
English is fun, so I made my students learnt english with fun activities, The activities
were listening to English songs, We discussed one of English songs that we have choosen
before. First, We found the lyric. And then, we sang it together. Next, we tried to understand
the meaning of the song, after that we singing it together and then we translated it into
Indonesian to find the meaning. I thought it was very appropriate for them.
For my students who has a mobile phone, I gave them some of English application
games to learn English, such as Duo Lingo, etc. I also ask them to watch English movies and
have a chat with people from abroad trought FB.
Sometimes, I teached English by using game such as cross word puzzle, whispering
games, etc We also have club on FB to learn English, I used it to share any kind of English
material, english song lyric, games, etc. They also could ask anything related to English in that
group.
Finally, my students became interested in learning English. They feel engrossed in
understanding English and it has been a satisfying pleasure for me.

2. A historical recount plan of the school I am teaching at the moment.

A Historical of SMPN 32 Kab. Tebo

SMPN 32 Kab. Tebo is a school Located in Lubuk Mandarsah Village, Tengah Ilir
District, Tebo Regency, Jambi. This school was built on March 3rd, 2006 on 2 ha area where
the land was purchased from the village treasury and the building was a help from the
government which was initiated by the request of the Lubuk Mandarsah Village community to
establish a junior high school in the Lubuk Mandarsah area, led by Mr. Samsuri AL as the
village head at that time. This school was the first public school in the village of Lubuk
Mandarsah and began operating in 2007 under the name SMPN 32 Kab. Tebo.
First, this school was led by Mrs. Ina, S.Pd, from 2006 to 2008, then led by Mr. Fuad,
S.Pd from 2008 to 2009, Mr. M. Yunus, S.Ag from 2009 s / d 2017 and by Mr. Azhari, S.Pd,
M.Pd from 2017 until now (2018). This school had passed thousands of alumni who have
spread in various directions. Someone them work in several government offices, become
teachers at schools, and work in some companies.
This school has facilities and infrastructure such as the Science Laboratory, Library
and Mosque. The school also has 7 class rooms, 1 Headmaster’s room, 1 teacher's room, 1
Staff Room, Cooperative room, 1 School Medical Room, OSIS Room, 2 teacher's official
houses, 3 teacher's toilet, 3 student's toilet , 2 canteens, 1 Store room and Parking area
SMPN 32 Kab. Tebo has a teacher as an adequate teaching staff and school
administration. 2 Civil Servant teachers, 9 non Civil Servant teachers and 4 staffs.
In teaching and learning activities, school also has extracurricular activities that can
develop the talents of students. The extracurricular activities are: Scouts, Volley ball, Football,
and Dance.
I think SMPN 32 Kab. Tebo is a good school as good as other schools and will be one
of the parents’ choice to send their children to study at SMPN 32 Kab. Tebo.

which relate to his/her leadership for the school.

Azhari, S.Pd, M.Pd

Azhari, S.Pd, M.Pd is a great teacher who was born on May 10th, 1965 in Sungai
Bengkal. He is a leader who is able to have a tremendous impact on progress at the school he
leads. For almost 1 years he had led SMPN 32 Kab. Tebo
Before he was appointed as a principal, he was a civic education teacher at SMPN 5
Kab.Tebo and after that he was appointed as a civil servant at SMPN 25 Kab. Tebo. However,
he was appointed by the Department of education and culture for a replacement position
because the previous school principal has retired. During 4 months he occupied the position,
the achievement that he got really extraordinary. The presence of teachers in the classroom
increased sharply, and school rules were actually run in accordance with its provisions.
During this year, he enhanced all aspects of the facilities at school such as waterways
at school, bell, submit a proposal for school building repairing, etc.
In addition he gave full concentration on improving the quality of teachers by letting
the teachers join various kind of training to improve the professionalism of teachers
implemented. Such activities include intensive training in the implementation of the 2013
curriculum and teachers professional quality improvement training.
Hopefully he will always be a good principal and become a role model for teachers at
SMPN 32 Kab. Tebo and can improve further the quality of teachers and SMPN 32 Kab. Tebo
that he leads.
