Have you ever wondered why there is a presence of earthquake and how do they be-
have? And have you ever wondered why we knew about earths interior? Well, in this quarter it
is more on Earth Science, the branch of science dealing with physical constitution of the earth
and its atmosphere. And we tackled about the plate tectonics and earth interior. One of them
are defining the means of existence of volcanoes and geological features such like mountain
ranges, rift valleys, ocean ridge, and of course we outlined the existence of earthquake and
how it behave. And lastly, we addressed the different theories and concept in earths’ history.
One of the things I learned in this quarter is how the earthquakes behave, plate bounda-
ries, seismic waves, continental drift theory, and lastly earth interior. There are plate boundaries
such as divergent, convergent and transform fault, and these are responsible for geological fea-
tures and event. We leaned to locate the epicenter of an earthquake with the use of triangula-
tion and richter method. We learned the two types of seismic waves which are body waves and
surface waves. We learned the evidences that supports continental drift theory suck like the fos-
sil evidence, coal deposits, etc.. We leaned the seafloor spreading. We learned the composi-
tion and layers of an earth.
I see myself in this quarter as an excited, diligent and avid learner motivated by under-
standing the unknown. I loved exploring the world using my imagination, literature and by get-
ting my hands dirty. I loved questioning how things worked by interrogating and disturbing
seemingly complex systems like the involvement of an earthquake, earth interior or anything
with the history of our beloved earth. It is said that all children are born with curious minds. I be-
lieved curiosity is an innate aspect of childhood that drives us to the learning process. And that
things are the one who driven me to learn to be more patient, never give up easily and perse-
vere. I have also learnt to encourage my friends around me and help them when they need my
help. The work was very tiring but I am very satisfied with what I have achieved. I was very ap-
preciative to my friends who were also motivating me and told me not to give up. I will change
my attitude for the better and stay focus in class similar to how I was during the class. This jour-
ney has taught me to listen to other people especially to my teachers.
Thank you. As behalf of my gratitude to our teacher also known for our second mom,
who always there to fill up my empty brain and curiosity. The one who supported us. The one
who guided us . The one who loved us. The one who always at your side even in crying time. In
the end, the things that I learned is from you and that should keep me more motivated to keep
sharing it to others. Loved this quarter.
