Jacky is 33 years old and according to Robert Havighurst's Developmental Theory, she
belongs under the Middle Age. During middle age, people reach the peak of their control over the
environment around them and their personal development. In addition, social responsibilities are
maximized. Middle age is also a period in which people confront the onset of physiological
changes. Therefore the patient is expected to achieve these tasks: (1) achieve adult civic and social
responsibility, (2) establish and maintain an economic standard of living, (3) assist children to
become responsible, (4) happy adult, (5) develop leisure activities, (6) relate to spouse on a more
intense basis, (7) accept and adjust to physiologic changes of middle age and (8) adjust to accept

Based on the results shown above, four of the tasks were fully achieved by the patient,

ANALYSIS
There are slight changes on the Physical competency since she can perform daily activities
by herself but already has easy fatiguability. Changes in eating, drinking and bladder elimination
is also present.

As shown above, there are NO changes in before and during illness. During illness, she has
mood swings and gets easily irritated because of pain??? which shows that the patient is
emotionally competent since it is a normal response that she is able to show emotions and reacts
to stimuli appropriately as long as it does not cause any problems among them. It was verified
from the patient that the family members understand her whenever she has mood swings and that

During illness the bond between the patient and her family, become stronger because
according to her, they’re more lovable and supportive than before by giving sympathy and she still
interacts with her family. There is no change in attending to social activities because she said that

As shown above, there are no changes in intellectual level of competencies because she
makes decisions on her own. The patient independently makes decision on her own like in regards
to her health matters and also, decisions concerning her daughter. She was able to state the correct
time, person and place when asked. When assessed about her remote memory, she can still recall

The patient claimed that although she does not go to the church, she still prays to God and
strongly believe in Him. There is a slight positive change in the spiritual level of competency of
the patient since she also claimed that her situation drew her closer to God and her relationship to
