Accessing Workday Reports
Standard (Delivered) Reports:
• Standard (delivered) reports are accessible by either searching for them or running
two reports called ‘Workday Standard Reports I Can Run’ and ‘Workday Standard
Xpresso Reports’
• Delivered reports come in two types: Report Writer or Xpresso
• Users can run any delivered report they have access to
• Users can NOT directly edit a delivered report
• Authorized users can COPY a delivered report if the type = Report Writer
Custom Reports:
• Users can run any custom report they have access to
• Custom reports are designed and built using the report writer tool
• They can be created new or as a copy of another standard or custom report
• Only authorized users can create custom reports

Our Reporting Strategy:
• Centralized reporting and governance model to avoid
performance impacts in the tenant
• Roles that have access to run reports will be able to run
both delivered and custom reports
• Custom reports will become part of a ‘Reports Library’ and
will continue to grow

Prompting For Organizations By Type
Select ‘Organizations by Type’ from the prompt

You can select from many different Org types.

When selecting by Cost Center or Supervisory Org,
it is best to enter it in the search box as there are too
many results to list.
Selecting an Organization hierarchy such as
Company or Supervisory Org will only give you results
at the highest level unless you check the ‘Include
Subordinate Organizations’ box.
