Overview Modules
Through this course, ECT’s gain entry into the world of Blended Learning, Professional
Development Programming, and Edmodo Training. Edmodo’s ECT training consists of Week One: Introduction to Education
six modules distributed over the course of six weeks. The training is a blend of Technology
webinars, readings and resources, small group meetings, and group discussion over
Edmodo.
Week Two: Teaching to All Learners

Learning Objectives

ECT’s graduate with a deepened understanding of Edmodo’s platform and of the Week Three: Assessing our Assessments
pedagogic capabilities of education technology more broadly. By the end of the course,

ECTs will have designed their own professional development training course in Edmodo.
After the course, ECT’s can become experts in areas of their choosing by pursuing

specializations, and they will be searchable by their specializations in our ECT Directory for
Learning Community
Distinguished Certified Educators.

Requirements Week Five: Leadership & Self-Advocacy


This course is designed for Ambassadors and expects familiarity with Edmodo, though you
are encouraged to review Edmodo features at any time, and can locate helpful resources
and videos on the Support Website and the Edmodo Training Page. To receive ECT status Week Six: Wrap Up and Next Steps
certification, participants must complete the assignments from each module, attend three
Philosophy & Impact discussions, leave a post in their weekly reflection group, and submit
their own Professional Development training proposal for approval by their ECT Mentors.

Philosophy and Impact Discussions will take place online, among a small section of your
training group. You will have 3 discussions, and they will each be 30 minutes. Your
attendance is required for completion of this course.

Resources
You will find your assignments, readings, and other helpful resources stored in the course
folders for you. Resources will also be shared in each module where they are relevant.
