Green Valley Primary

There are four prevention strategies to Malaria:
Bright Secondary School
1) Mosquito Nets (insecticide treated) (LLIN)
2) Intermittent Preventive Treatment for Pregnancy (IPTP) Kiwoko College
3) Testing and early treatment (RDT)
4) Indoor Residual Spray (IRS) Luwero Girls Primary

Perhaps the most common factor in the lack of mosquito nets Luwero Diocese Vocational
throughout the community is the issue of affordability. Due to low- Luwero Boys School
income, most parents cannot provide for themselves and their
children mosquito nets. Ntegeka Initiatives in partnership with Everest College
Peace Corps Uganda Malaria Think Tank, is working with 27 schools Kasana St. Jude Primary
in the Greater Luwero Area, providing
nets to the boarding students attending St. DHTS
24 of those schools.

only their health, but also the dangers in the cost of: treatment,
hospital visits, hospital administration, transportation, and to the
general diverse effects to economic development.
