PROPOSALS AND ACCEPTANCE

1. By virtue ofDepEd Order No. 43, s. 2015 and DepEd Order No.4, s 2016 (Revised
Basic Education Research Fund (BERF) Guidelines) supporting DepEd Order 13
through providing mechanisms for conducting research and DepEd Order No. 39.
s. 2016 (Adoption of the Basic Education Research Agenda) providing the sources of
research topics aligned with the different agenda anchored on the vision, mission and
core values of the Department of Education, this office enjoins the field to package
research pmposals/acceptallce commensurate with the aforementioned legal bases.

2. In like manner, this of±1ce reiterates compliance to the division guidelines in the conduct
of action researches aligned with the new research agenda of the DepEd focused on the
four themes: Teaching and Learning responding to students' and teachers' needs, Child
Protection focusing on the welfare of the learners, Human Resource Development
addressing concerns on teaching and non-teaching staff, and Governance encompassing
administration and stakeholder engagement.
3. Hereto attached are the contents of research proposals, research acceptance, the process
flow of basic education research and the research committees in school, district and
division for perusal.

4. Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance with this division memorandum is


directed.
