 PRODUCT NAME

o “Lilygyan”

- The researchers will be producing BioPlastic-Composite container using Water

Hyacinth as their base. Water lilies are different from water hyacinths, but in the

Philippines, people always thought that the water hyacinths were actually called

water lilies, or thought that they were the same plant, so the researchers used lily

instead of hyacinth, and the Filipino word “lalagyan” could be translated in English

as “container”.

 BRAND NAME

o Eco-G1 Industries

- The researchers used the term “Eco” since the product that will be made is

environment-friendly, which means it is safe to use in our environment and it is

the best alternative to the usual “plastic” products that were used by the people

today. And the term “G1” came from the researchers group number in Pasig

Catholic College.

 PRODUCT NAME

o Significance of the Color

 Black – This color represents the
strength and the durability of the
product.
 Green – This color represents nature,
growth and also this product being
environmental-friendly.
 Blue – This color represents trust,
honesty and dependability that helps in
building customer’s loyalty to the
product.

 LOCATION

o The proposed business location by the researchers will be in Taguig City. There are two

possible sites that are being considered; Bay Breeze near C-6 and Taguig City Public

Market. Each site will be needing 60 square meters, the first half of the area is specifically

2
intended for the production of the BioPlastic-Composite products which includes the basic

equipments needed. While the other half is intended for the selling of the products.

 DEMOGRAPHIC

o Target customers are those who are in college or high school, people that works in a canteen

or restaurants, single, parent (family unit). The researchers will target both gender but slight

skew to males since females is more likely to work on kitchen and such. The researchers

will appeal from lower to medium income bracket since the product is more likely for small

businesses and kitchen tool only.

 TYPES OF PRICING USED

o Marketing Penetration Pricing Strategy

- The researchers will use penetration pricing to be able to enter the market easily,

since the “lilygyan” is mostly composed of cheap materials, and the researchers’

aim is to make a more affordable alternative to plastic containers.

8
 MARK UP

o Total Cost – Php 972 / 10 = P97.20

o Selling Price – Php 972 + (972*15%) = P1,118.80

o Mark Up – Php 1,118 – 972 = P146

 PROMOTION

o The researchers used Social Media as their platform to promote the usage of

environmental-friendly products and of course also to encourage the people to buy and to

use products that are 100% biodegradable. They also used this promotional strategy mainly

because social media can be accessed and be seen by people anytime and anywhere.

TWITTER INSTAGRAM

 PEOPLE

o Target customers are those who are in college or high school, people that works in a canteen

or restaurants, single, parent (family unit). The researchers will target both gender but slight

skew to males since females is more likely to work on kitchen and such. The researchers

will appeal from lower to medium income bracket since the product is more likely for small

businesses and kitchen tool only. These people would know that instead of using paper

cups and regular plastics which uses trees and chemicals as its main source, they could

instead use the “Liligyan” which uses Water Hyacinth as its base.

10
 PACKAGING

o The packaging layout is a typical box but it represents many things. The background of

this layout consist of green blooming flowers with leaves around it. It signifies green and

nurtured environment to which the product we are producing considered as an environment

friendly. At the center part, we placed the logo of our product “Lilygyan”. The logo was

placed at the center to show the pride and competence of the team that showed compassion

and perseverance towards reaching the goal. Secondly to identify the one innovators of the

people behind this awesome creation.

o Significance of the Color

11
 Green – the main color of the packaging represents the color of nature and

environment. This means that our product is surely a biodegradable and

environment friendly.

 White - it represents clarity and purity. Our product is clearly defined to be useful,

helpful made of pure raw materials.

o Content of the Package
