Tapal Tea

Introduction:
Tapal Tea is a Pakistani major tea brand based in Karachi, Pakistan. It
was founded by Adam Ali Tapal in 1945. Tapal enjoy a good 34% of the brand tea
market. In southern region, Tapal is the market leader with 65% of the market
share where Karachi is the hub. Currently there are 375-400 permanent employees.
If we include the outsourced ones it would be approximately 3000.

Tapal Danedar:
 First introduced in Pakistan in 1987
 The name “Danedar” was suggested by Kenyan Granules
 Tapal danedar enjoys a leader ship position in the Tapal portfolio by catering to
diverse income segments from single serving sachet user to large holders
 Mostly used in Punjab.
 Using percentage is approximately 82%
Mezban:
 First introduced in 1988.
 Mostly used in Sindh
 Mezban has been known as the primum dust tea brand that understands and
reflects the true essence of Sindhi culture and hospitality
 Using percentage is approximately 65%
Family Mixture:
 First introduced in 1947
 Originated from small shop in Jodia Bazaar
 The most popular brand in Karachi
 Using percentage is approximately 40%
Tezdam:
 First introduced in 2003
 Relaunched in 2014 with new Pakaging
 Popular Brand in folklore of Punjab
 Using percentage is approximately 73%
Tapal Chenak:
 First introduced in 1984
 Was awarded by PAS in 2004
 Especially created for the people of Tharparkar
 Using percentage is approximately 38%
Green Tea:
 First introduced in 2000
 Leading brand of the Tapal
 First Green Tea in Pakistan
 Available in four flavors (Jasmin, lemon, elichi and moroccan mint)
 Using percentage is approximately 60%
Gulbhar:
 Oldest green tea brand
 First launched in 1999-2000
 Known as Sabz chae or Qahwa
 Mostly used in Kashmir
 Using percentage is approximately 69%
