a. shall be isolated by an isolating valve

- threaded coupling for DN 32 and smaller
- butt welding for Dn 50 and larger
b. carbon steel and low alloy steel piping :
- socket welding for DN 32 and smaller
- butt welding for DN 50 and larger
c. stainless steel piping :
- socket welding for DN 25 and smaller
- butt welding for Dn 32 and larger
d. socket weld :
- not permitted for class above 900
