Hi,

Regarding the application of Self-Employed with BIR, please follow the process below:

Step 1: Secure CTC (Community Tax Certificate) or Cedula - you can get this in your Barangay
hall or municipal hall

Step 2: Secure OTR / PTR

Occupational Tax Receipt (OTR) - for professionals that are not Licensed by PRC or other
Licensing regulatory bodies such as artist, models free lance agents and others.

Professional Tax Receipt (PTR) - for Licensed individuals such as Lawyers, CPA's and others.

These are available in your Municipal's Treasurer's Office or where ever your designated place
by your municipality.

Please note that different municipalities have different requirements, but a copy of your
contract with Movie English should suffice as proof of income.

Step 3: (Only if applicable) If you are transitioning from employed to self-employed professional,
you shall undergo a transfer of TIN from the RDO of your previous employer to your current
location address RDO. In this case, fill out form BIR 1905 Application for Registration
Information Update.Correction.Cancellation (attached). It might take 3-10 business days
before it might take effect.

Step 4: Fill out form BIR 1901 Application Form for Self-employed
Individual (attached) and BIR 0605 - BLANK (attached) for the payment of Registration Fee.
After completing the above, you may now submit all documents to the RDO where your
home/business address is located. Talk to the Officer of the day and let them assess your
documents and how much, where to pay, and other things that you need to know. If all
requirements are complete, your Certificate of Registration (COR) will be processed.

Step 5: Come back to claim your COR from RDO. And they will ask you to buy Book of Journals
(4 books for nonvat, some just require 2) and have it stamped by the BIR. Normally, they sell
these around RDO.

Step 6: Last step is the Official Receipt with Authority to Print. Only authorized BIR accredited
printer can print the OR.

For the accredited printer, BIR has a list just pick one from the list and get their contact details.
the printer can provide a template for the OR, subject to your approval and then once you
approved the template for the receipts they will start to print. Or you can simply ask the RDO
which is the nearest.
Choose the lowest price and fastest delivery.
Normally, the accredited printer will be the one to process and submit your BIR 1906 Authority
to Print (attached) to your RDO for the application of Authority to Print. So before you choose
your printer don't forget to ask if they can give you a package deal in submission of your BIR
1906 up to actual delivery of your Printed Official Receipts.

Please prepare at least 3 clear photocopies of all your requirements plus one ORIGINAL set of
documents. Photocopy also all the documents that will be issued to you.

Lastly, please take note of the instructions given by the personnel whether from BIR or
Municipal's office as they have different requirements per district.

Thank you.
