Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Mayor Knoll at 6:30 p.m.

40.2010 Reimer: That the agenda for the March 1, 2010 meeting be accepted as amended.

41.2010 Corbett: That the minutes of the February 8, 2010 regular meeting be adopted.
CARRIED.

Olympic Banners
42.2010 Janzen: That the following organizations be given a set of three Olympic
banners:
RHS
RJC
RES
Rosthern Jubilee Sports Centre
Rosthern & District Ambulance
Valley Regional Park
Rosthern Soccer Association
Ladies’ Night Out
with the remainder of the two sets being dealt with by Council at a later date.

Membership – Partners for the SK River Basin

45.2010 Janzen: That the Town pay a $125 membership fee for 2010 to the Partners for
the SK River Basin.
CARRIED.

Community Futures Workshop

46.2010 Janzen: That Doug Knoll and Don Greve be authorized to attend the Community
Futures Workshop in Bruno on March 18, with associated expenses being paid by
the municipality.
CARRIED.

Correspondence
47.2010 Reimer: That the following correspondence be received and filed for
information:
a) Partners for the SK River Basin
b) Sagehill Community Futures
CARRIED.

Appoint EMO Coordinator

48.2010 Isfeld: That Ryan Thiessen be appointed EMO coordinator for the Town of
Rosthern.
CARRIED.

SK Emergency Planners Association

49.2010 Helmuth: That Ryan Thiessen be authorized to attend the SK Emergency Planners
Association conference being held in Saskatoon, with associated expenses being
paid by the municipality.
CARRIED.

Appoint Economic Development Member

50.2010 Corbett: That Louis Perrin be appointed to the Economic Development
Committee.
CARRIED.

One Arrow Rec Tournament – Community Event Permit

51.2010 Isfeld: That Council approve a community event permit for One Arrow
Recreation to hold a beer gardens as part of its recreation hockey tournament on
the following dates and times:
Saturday, March 13, 2010 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight
Sunday, March 14, 2010 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.
CARRIED.

Lane Closure
52.2010 Reimer: That the Town be responsible for costs associated with the proposed
lane closure west of Lots 21 and 22, Block 7, Plan 83PA14549.
CARRIED.
