More ideas

If you need more quiz questions or ideas for bonus rounds here are some
ideas

 Make as many words as you can from the phrase “give the dog a
bone”
You can set a minimum letter count for this to make marking easier.

 Name as many dog breeds as you can that begin with the letter A
etc

 Name a dog breed for each letter of the alphabet (excluding Q and Z
for which there are no breeds currently listed)

 Try making up a limerick which begins with the line “There was a
young pup called…” add your choice of name here or “There was a
young pup from…..” you could use your local town or village here

 Play a memory game. Put a number of dog related items on a tray

or table and show them to your quiz teams for one minute. Cover
the items and then get them to list the ones they can remember.

 Try a more difficult memory game.

Tell your teams a short story involving dogs, such as “Rascal the
Labrador went for a walk, he met Poppy the Poodle in the park and
they played with a ball. Then he met Jasper the Spaniel and Jasper’s
owner gave them both a biscuit. After the park Rascal walked to the
stream, he met Dash the Collie and went for a swim…..”
Set ten questions testing your teams’ recollection of the story
