POWERLOGIC® Ethernet Gateway

Web-Enabled Ethernet Gateway

Simplifies Power Monitoring
Faster alarm notification, increased data transfer rates, easy access to
data using only a web browser — just a few of the reasons the
POWERLOGIC Ethernet Gateway (EGX) is the solution of choice for
high-speed communications in industrial and commercial environments.
From a single building or a sprawling campus, to a multi-site enterprise,
the EGX capitalizes on existing network infrastructure to deliver status,
energy, and power quality information to the people who need it most.

Features and Benefits:

High Speed Communications
• Fast 10 or 100 megabits/second Ethernet communications
eliminates bottlenecks by moving power monitoring data at the same
network speeds used in your LAN
• Capitalize on existing LAN infrastructure to reduce communications
wiring costs
• A single EGX, assigned a single IP address, provides high speed
Ethernet communications for up to 64 devices (32 per RS-485
serial port)

Web Enable Your Equipment

• Access power equipment data from circuit monitors, circuit breaker
trip units, programmable controllers, drives and protective relays,
using only a standard web browser
• Web enables any MODBUS® serial device including UPS, ATS,
lighting control, etc.
• 8 MB of internal memory (EGX-400 only) provides storage for
standard and custom web pages to display real-time power
equipment data and status, instruction manuals, equipment
drawings, etc.
• Use standard web pages or create custom web pages using a text
Flexible mounting options include editor or any web-page creation program
Din rail, panel/wall mount or tabletop
Open platform provides broad connectivity options
• Ethernet networking using MODBUS®/TCP allows transparent
access via intranet/internet
• MODBUS/TCP provides a bridge between POWERLOGIC and
POWERLINK™ G3 systems and automation and control systems
such as TRANSPARENT FACTORY®
• Supports any MODBUS or POWERLOGIC device
• Port to port serial communications lets a master device (such as a
programmable controller) connected to one serial port, communicate
to devices connected to the other serial port

Simple to Set Up and Use

• Once the IP address is set, the EGX can be configured remotely
using an internet browser
• Embedded HTML pages guide you step-by-step through the
setup process
• Download firmware upgrades remotely using ftp software
