The PrimeServ Academy Shanghai provides a variety of comprehensive training courses for plant manag-
ers, operation and maintenance personnel both of marine and stationary plants. In addition to open courses,
PrimeServ Academy Shanghai also offers customized training carried out both at PrimeServ Academy
Shanghai and at our customers’ sites worldwide.

ME control system standard operation ME-B control system standard operation

Upon completion of this course the participants will be
able to safely and efficiently operate the ME engine.
They will also understand how to troubleshoot and
perform adjustments in the control system.
ME electrician standard maintenance
Upon completion of this course the participants will be
able to perform correct maintenance and repair pro-
cedures on the engine control system and relevant en-
gine components. The ECS system and applying cor-
rect troubleshooting procedures via the main operating
panel will also be included.
Two-stroke advanced alpha lubricator
Upon completion of this course the participants
will understand the purposes of the Alpha cylinder
lubricator and how to handle the system according
to the service procedures for safe and efficient
operation.
Upon completion of this course the participants will
understand the name and function of the ME-B engine
components. They will also understand the working
principles of the ME-B engine. Application of correct
basic troubleshooting procedures will be included.
ME-GI control system standard operation
Upon completion of this course the participants will
identify the name and function of components on the
ME-GI engine. They will also understand the working
principles of the ME-GI engine. Application of correct
operating and troubleshooting procedures will also be
included.

Four-stroke standard operation
Upon completion of this course the participants will be
able to perform engine starting, stopping, and oper-
ating procedures under normal conditions. They will
also be able to identify and analyze the engine’s normal
and abnormal operating parameters. Additionally they
will understand the maintenance intervals and correct
maintenance procedures. The course applies to 16/24,
21/31, 32/40, 32/44CR, 51/60DF, PC2, PA6 engine
types.
Four-stroke standard maintenance
Upon completion of this course the participants will un-
derstand how to safely operate the engine. They will
also understand how to conduct maintenance tasks
following correct procedures. Additionally the use of
hydraulic tensioning tools and an introduction to the
engine control system will be included. The course ap-
plies to 16/24, 21/31, 32/40, 32/44CR, 51/60DF, PC2,
PA6 engine types.
Four-stroke engine Common Rail technology
including SaCoSone
Upon completion of this course the participants will
understand the Common Rail (CR) injection principle,
and how to troubleshoot the system. In addition, they
will understand the SaCoSone engine safety and control
system, and how to change modules on the system us-
ing SaCoSone toolbox.
Four-stroke engine automation: SaCoSone
Upon completion of this course the participants will be
able to identify and locate all the system components
on the engine. They will also understand how to navi-
gate the LOP panel menu structures.

Four-stroke Gas/Dual Fuel Technology including
SaCoSone
Upon completion of this course the participants will
understand the gas related technologies of MAN Die-
sel & Turbo Gas and Dual Fuel engines, including the
plant relatedgas safety concept. In addition, they will
understand the SaCoSone engine safety and control
system, and how to change modules on the system.
The course applies to 51/60DF engine type.
Turbocharger standard maintenance
Upon completion of this course the participants will
understand the components and functionality of the
turbocharger. They will also understand how to per-
form correct maintenance procedures. The course ap-
plies to TCA, TCR, NA and NR type turbochargers.
ASU (Air Separator Unit)
Upon completion of this course the participants will
be familiarized with ASU (Air Separator Unit) and have
confidence to operate it safely and efficiently. In addi-
tion, they will understand how to detect the potential
malfunction on the unit and perform fault-finding.
Turbolog control system
Upon completion of this course the participants will be
familiarized with the Turbolog control system and have
confidence to operate it safely and efficiently. In addi-
tion, they will understand how to detect the potential
malfunction on the unit and perform fault-finding.
