The researchers use the mixed method approach of Quantitative and Qualitative approach to best

understand their research and to support claims:

 The quantitative approach – the researchers collect data using a predetermined instrument

to which it will result statistical data. The instrument is a questionnaire which it contains

set of questions about whether or not the minimum wage of the gasoline boys in Butuan

City is sufficient in sustaining family’s quality living.

 The qualitative approach – the researchers visit research sites to observe and interview the

respondents. The interview will be conducted spontaneously without predetermined

questions to allow the respondents to openly talk about their thoughts towards the topic.

The researchers will also inquire to existing studies related to the topic.
