Account Executives are passionate about getting the job done. In fact, they are
Summary the ultimate project manager, firing on all cylinders all the time. They assist in the
execution of all marketing activities driving their business. They anticipate the
entire process, from who is involved, to what needs to get done, and how it all fits
together. Account Executives contribute to their client’s business through their
strong understanding of the creative product and their role in its creation, and
through their knowledge of the client, the client’s business and their consumer.
They are expected to act and think creatively and strategically, contributing to their
team, but also owning their projects and integrating around ideas. Account
Executives must inspire confidence to deliver the integrated resources that best
meet the needs of their client’s business.

KEY RESULT AREAS

KEY RESULT AREA 1: STRATEGIC SOLUTION PLANNING & MANAGEMENT

Responsibility: Customer Insight

Performance Standards:

 Keep abreast of market trends/practices, competitors, trends & issues affecting the client’s business.
 Think beyond media to understand the Client's need, market, product, marketing and business
objectives, to provide best solutions. E.g. actively attends and visits clients events, openings and
venues, product testing, recommends focus groups or research studies to direct supervisor when
and if required

Responsibility: Solution Design

Performance Standards:

 Demonstrate working knowledge of the agency’s business solutions and consistently work at
understanding the client, their business, the marketplace and the customer.
 Participate in the assessment of creative from a strategic perspective; offering relevant, insightful
feedback and developing the case to sell the work.
 Add value to the creative process by providing ideas and support and helping to overcome possible
obstacles.
 Understand the role of strategy holistically; can take consumer insights and relevant brand data and
use them to develop cogent strategic options for the team to consider.
 Understand how each assignment fits into the brand scope, why an idea is right, and the context
surrounding that idea (the source of volume, the frame of reference, etc.).

Responsibility: Project Management

Performance Standards:

 Keep management fully informed of account activity, challenges and opportunities.


 Responsible for the timely and accurate issuance of all status and budget reports for submission to
the client and agency team members.
 Ensure budgets and timelines are met and alert team of potential issues.
 Co-own, with Strategic Planner, the consumer (and the facts and context surrounding them), the
product facts, the legal liability (what we can/can’t say in communication); and the competitive
landscape.
 Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of agency processes and the time required to
complete each stage and formulate the implication of changes to budget and delivery timelines.
 Display a superior understanding of the needs of each department (agency and client side when
necessary) that will be involved in the execution of client projects. Provide key, relevant information
to these departments in a timely manner.
 Effectively field questions from various departments pertaining to a brand/project, by demonstrating
an understanding of client objectives, issues and requirements.
 Forge strong relationships among key partner departments (media, creative, Designerers,
Production brand planning etc.) to facilitate the smooth progress of client projects.

Responsibility: Client Relationship

Performance Standards:

 Anticipate potential issues and develop recommended solutions for review with their supervisor.
 Build client confidence by demonstrating an ability to creatively manage and deliver a quality
product, on time, on strategy and on budget.
 Keep managers and entire team informed of key developments on the business.
 Maintain constant contact with client counterpart to update them on the status of projects.
 Optimize and integrate all agency departments and resources through constant communication,
ensuring that the client experiences a seamless process regardless of which department is being
utilized.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

such it may be a combination of knowledge / experience, qualifications or equivalent level of learning
through experience, key skills, attributes or job specific competencies.
Qualifications
Essential: Desirable:
 S1 Degree any field  Diploma degree preferably from Mass
 1-2 years experience in a sales, marketing or Communications, Marketing or related field
customer relation management job  3 years experience in Marketing/Event
Organizer

Knowledge/Experience
Essential: Desirable:

 Basic understanding of BTL concepts.  3 years experience handling BTL.


 Proficiency in English both oral and written  Project Management experience
