The Book Of John John 1:40-43

for educators
One of the two who heard John speak and followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He
first found his own brother Simon and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means
Christ). He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of John. You
shall be called Cephas.” (which means Peter). The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found
Philip and said to him, “Follow Me.”

There’s a Word for that! Anger

Is there anything that makes you angry at school? Deal with it immediately before you sin. Make
sure you do not leave campus until your anger is addressed in a Godly manner.

Ephesians 4:26– Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no
opportunity to the devil.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Y

We know there is no benefit to being angry at a

student, colleague, administrator or parent. Help
us when anger wells up in us to not act on it and
sin. Rather help us to make sure we do not let
the sun go down on our anger. Will you show us
how to rectify our anger before we leave school
and address it immediately? Lord, we are so
A

helpless without You. We ask for this in the

gracious name of Jesus. Amen.

Meditation for the month

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in
the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not any thing
D

that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:1-5
Prayer, posture and Practicalities
1:16 PM prayer prompt – Please pray for the joy of our Lord to be our strength. (Neh. 8:10)

Prayer Triplets– Prayer triplets are three Christians committed to praying together for the
needs of their school community. Action step #4- Each prayer partner brings one request to
pray triplet time. All members pray for the request as you go around the circle. Continue until
all requests are prayed for by each member. Rejoice in your new prayer partners.
